St Austell Proper Job - I get mine by the case from the brewery but it is reasonably priced in both Co-Op and Lidl.

strongbow is undrinkable sh1te, as evidenced by the fact its 75p a can, despite 33p of that being excise duty. try westons. theres so much decent sherbert around now only an idiot would consume that crap. proper job is indeed excellent, also thornbrige dont make any rubbish.

many craft beers that are not necessarily real ale but real quality, namely beavertown gamma ray, anything from sierra nevada or goose island. even camden show off lager is excellent. no wonder the big brewers are are buying up the microbreweries. they know the games up for the mass-produced filth theyve been mugging people off with for decades.

Bush Amber.  12%, fairly pleasant until the room starts spinning round.

I went to Wincanton for the Badger Ales chase about 4yrs ago and got a free pint with the ticket, it was superb and memorable to this day. Try going to France and stock up, so much more choice and the `brown beer` is exceptional.

For me the best is Moongazer's Triskele , its a Norfolk Porter and a limited edition as they usually only do one brewing , 4.5% and makes most dark beers very ordinary .

Toffs thread. The purpose of alcohol is not taste, but to get as drunk as possible (as quickly and as cheaply as possible)
