Yes... and been on a good run lately (but not enough to incur PC). How about yourself Dave (and Rekab)?

I'm on 2%, nowhere near to incurring charges.

2% for me, not running good for last year, my best time is april/may which didn't happen this year.

purple have been doing commision free saturdays lately so I would be surprised and dissapointed if BF up their commision.

This is a bit worrying - looks like a commission increase to me as there is nothing else to change.

Wish I could take a 2% commission instead of ****g €1 free bets.

Got the same email, on the 2% if they increase it I am off to try BETquack or watch Book and give them a try.

Same here--totally baffled but commission increase was not something that crossed my mind.

Up to now they haven't been enforcing BOG restriction on SB with 2%
Tried it yesterday and only got SP
So maybe tightening the offer ?

When they first offered it to me (before the launch for everyone) they might have thought that I would eventually be paying PC and I would get there quicker (even with the quirk of their deemed charges), but I've basically plateaued for year, in part by trying some marginal strategies, so the have def had more liquidity from me over the period but maybe not from everyone.

It would be helpful to know if anyone on 5% or 8% has recieved this email.

I'm currently on the 5% package (but have changed/selected my package back to the basic 2% one from 1st Oct ) * decided to change back the basic package because the only promotion I was getting was the Beat The Drop game (which was crap)  but when they pulled the Cash Race promotion I decided to go back to the 2% package.   I received the same e.mail from them on Monday but don't really know what it actually means??   I'm also a regular 40 % PC payer so really not sure what they are going to do ??

IMO there will be changes to bonuses in 5% and 8% and no change to 2%.

Please note that any such exclusion will not affect any free bet, bonus or other promotional offer you have already placed a qualifying bet towards. They are a "technology" company (apparently!) with a MASSIVE Market Capitalisation Value - Shirley any second now the Head Of Customer Communications (Lucan?) will make a detailed and comprehensive statement which will also be posted in the Service Forum (imo).

likely you're not generating them enough comms, so looks as though they intend to switch the % on certain accounts to make your account profitable (to them)

if you'vr rreceived an email i'd be thinking that's your 7 days notice, people not receiving an email won't be changing, i'd check your account nect week and see what they've altered

At the moment you can get two customers on 5% with one betting 50 times as much as the other
and they both get £25 monthly free bet.

Ask them on twitter. Most likely get an answer on there

whether it's the freebies or the %, if you get an email it's probable something on your account will change

There are no rewards on 2%, its just that, 2% no frills.
How can they change nothing?

If you pay PC then they get their crust either way by raiding your account every wednesday.

I've been sent the same email, I do hope I don't get pushed onto 8%. Although I'm not far off paying PC.

when these new packages came in they changed the t&cs to give them the ability to do individual account targeting, so it would probably be the case that those getting emails have something in common, whether that's their style of betting or trading, level of profit/loss etc, but i'd be pretty sure this isn't just a random email

been on 2% since they first started the packages, can't see if anything to do with winning or losing, my accounts 8k down down last 3 months and prob 20k down last year

It can only be linked to the way you bet.

On 2% and havent received any mail, hopefully it stays the same, not really interested in some £1 free bets at 5%

worth checking junk mail, they have to give you notice to change your package so if you're going to get reviewed on the 1st oct then you will have been notified, look on the bright side, it might be 1% a rebate on losses and a fortnum and mason hamper

I hope its a free meat hamper to the biggest loser.

as a btw, it's been pointed out that they have to give 7 days notice of a change.  IANAL but I'd be surprised if telling someone that something was changing in 7 days, but keeping the actual change secret, qualified as "notice".

Got the email. I seem to be on what they call the basic package ( and paying 2% )   Yet further down the list  there seems to be a 2% commission option. Anyone explain that please ?

thats the package i am on and i have not had the email,so being as i am the only loser on betfair i am hoping it wont effect me

I don't have many bets/trades but they are mostly winning. It has resulted in BF getting very little at 2%  although it would hardly be big money at 5%.

I got the same e-mail earlier in the week.  Currently on the 2% commission basic option

On 2% but no email. However, only started regular punting again since June 1 after 5 years of minimal activity.

Purple are advertising on their site that all sports are commission free this Saturday

the owners make plenty on here without commission, stopped being p2p the day they took over.

purples been 0% saturday for weeks, mbook 0% horses for a month.

odd that no one commenting on football etc about getting the email, just racing punters?

most of the football forum struggle to get their knuckles on the right keys to open email
