Yesterday there were two races where a horse had to be re-shod at the start of the race; in other words, having their shoes refitted. Of course, this led to long delays throughout the afternoon. I have witnessed this about six times in the past four weeks. It is ****g frustrating. It's about time the BHA made a rule that if your horse needs to have shoes fitted at the start of the race, for whatever reason, then it should be withdrawn. I mean the trainers have got hours to make sure the horse is shod correctly!
