Have they got anyone under 30 picking the selections ?

Successful gamblers and unsuccessful gamblers will have shockingly bad runs and amazing good runs.  Simply looking at a bad run says nothing.

Correct Dave. Bad runs last 6 weeks, good runs 6 hours.

That is the nature of the game.

You can be the greatest form student in the world but if you don`t have inside stable information you will struggle.

Gotta disagree STRONGLY with your last line Mightymac....stable information matters not for the majority - not being able to get the prices available to anyone bar losers and the media is the problem.

Very true ronnie and grayhawk, I agree in general, but at the end of the day, if the stable is not on and have something planned down the line, it will not win regardless of how good a judge one is.

Thanks Ronnie, hope you are well too mate. Stay safe.

Regards Jury Service, one knows when they are on a good run when their adverts reappear in the Post, when on a bad run, they disappear.

Did not - or rather, surely -  you meant OVER  30.

Don't their selections shorten significantly after they're released?  Or maybe not when on a losing run?

Recently their selections shorten when you get the info around 9.30 am but the majority ( recently) go back to original price after a few hours .

The majority of punters can’t get access to stable information or shutdown I say the information they don’t want the public to have access too......so me thinks the only way to make this bloody game pay is hard work, hard work and Even more hard work !

FFS....It is now over 30 continuous losing bets ....that is some serous ****-up by so called experts....Phill Bull will be spinning in his grave

If you have any experience of horseracing and betting then Timeform will not employ you.

They take graduates straight out of university with no ingrained opinion or knowledge of betting and mold them to their own strict philosophy.

Hence no clue and no feel for the subject. HTHs.

How do they make money?..surely anyone paying £5 a day for the opportunity to back 32+ losers @ £50 a time must be ready to give up on them...not much enjoyment from betting like that at the best of times but must be pure misery during a run like this.I still buy the Horses to Follow books which are a good read to start the season and this flat season have had a few decent priced winners...not usually the case.
My main concern is how can Timeform retain their reputation when they are owned by Paddypower Betfair...

Jury has had 12 consecutive winning years and is just starting out on year 13. At least the results are there to be read on a publicly accessible platform. They don't hide. There are some horrendous losing runs to be found in that portfolio and they're a fact of life of betting on racehorses. That said, the betfair/PP ownership is a worry for the longer term.
The anti timeform brigade on here seem to think it can only be judged as a tipping service. It's primarily a form book. Race Passes is on the whole a decent service, and it's up to the user to form opinions and read the context of the comments. You might watch a race and agree or disagree with their views, but any experienced punter will quickly get used to their style and that's what's important in making consistent decicions.
As a rule, their insight is an excellent platform from which to analyse a race. The only better one I can think of is to watch every horse in every race, and that's impossible. The proceess is to use the race pass to look for an angle, single out the relavent replays, verify or reject, and decide how to play it. Works for me.

Only looked at the selections for the previous two years but they had a run of 31 consecutive losers during April 2019.

Also - the ratings are an opinion. There is no logical reason to think that TF ratings should outperform the official handicapper's view. So selling the service on ratings is a little misleading, although they can be helpful when the BHA hasn't allotted a mark, but of course more likely to be inaccurate in those circumstances). For handicaps there is nothing to be gained, it's the comments you need to be reading. The analysis in race passes goes farther than the free summaries on various web sites, and are given for every race so context can be be deduced.

Well lads the last time the brains trust tipped a winner was on the 22nd August 2020 ....so between giving you “no bets today “ and tipping many losers it ain’t been a good month and a bit so far ....unless you are a Bookie !!
Some bad luck has been prevalent they tipped one ( had £ 50 on it ) and the flipping  jockey fell off it coming out the stalls ...you really couldn’t make it up .....The next time it ran , they didn’t tip and yes you guessed it .....it hosed up ....No , I also didn’t back it grrrrrrrrr.
To be fair when you phone them  after  9.30 am ....I do believe they are suffering as well when listening to the message .
With regards the prices the tipped horses shorten a bit but usually go out in the betting later on .
No Bet today thank God ...so will have saved at least £50 !
All the best !

Not brave enough Duncan ...50 is more than enough for one point for me ....if they say two points ( which they very rarely do ) then it will be two x .£50.
You may think I am daft but I am going to buy another 3 months ( Oct - end of Dec ) and that will prove one way or another if they are reputable,...Timeform is but are they ???
Phill Bull was totally reputable....so let the young crowd prove they are off the same stock or maybe not ( it is in their hands & yours , Simon ).
Well guys I hope you all have a successful punting weekend in these terrible ( Covid ) times ...cheers.....will keep you updated .

I hope Simon from Timeform is reading this ...I can understand that they are now terrified about tipping a horse to win given their recent record ......
abysmal.!
OK we know that but let’s get back to basics ....you guys are at TF because you are better than the average punter (:if not I would be working for them even at age 68 );.....so stop being frightened and let the juices flow ...stop holding them back Simon ....come on you just need a couple of winners ...so let’s get It sorted ... Be brave and believe in yourself .....good luck !!!

Using one source of information is really risky. Timeform are great for compiling all the information you require but the final decision must be yours.
Choose the type of race you prefer to bet in, I never bet in handicaps, gather as much information as you can and watch replays if you need confirmation then make a decision. You usually only get out of something comparable to what you put in. Never be afraid of betting more than one horse in a race and remember winning, making a profit, is the aim and not trying to be clever.

agree with brigust1 100%. Not only choose the type but also the class and field size. I stick to Class 1+2,3yos and over in fields of 10 or more. Still have losing runs but not swamped with hundreds of races and have time for family and other things in my life.

Me thinks Bigrust is a very, very clever punter ....... Well another loser lads by the Brain Trust ( Renaissance Rose ) to be fair when they handed out the tip they weren’t to know the horse was drawn on the wrong side , the joys of flat racing ...not !
Another 50 reduces one off my many online accounts ....roll on the National Hunt , the real racing !

Well Lads .........
The brains trust have not given a winner since the 22/8/20 so zero winners in the full month of September.
Apart from the days they  gave out  “ no bets” .....41 points was advised to bet on these numerous loser’s  ( @ £50 a point....ouch ! ) .....it truly beggars belief and Yes, I am talking through my empty pocket.
On reflection I will not now be continuing with the Jury Service and I can’t imagine I will be the last client .

Found that the only tend to update web site when they have a winner, Only think I can say in there favour is that all bets are shown on the web site even if as I said they are a little lax at updating.
