Recruiting time again. Looking for Bet Placers (cash/shops) or online for Jumps Season Starting late September. Been doing this many many years and overall Profit to Stake around the 25% mark. Looking for people available early morning 8:30ish to 10am every day of the week, so availabilty in that time range essential. Good range of shops and/or accounts required. You make money by following/ not getting paid. I provide the money for the bets in advance. PM me if interested. No spam please. No I don't sell tips. Reason I need placers is I can't get on, especially in the volumes I require. Logistics...settlement of account pretty much daily, slightly longer when processing of larger wins. Communication via messenger. If cash betting in shops, you'd require mode of transport (quick). Smart phone essential and good internet. Trustworthy people only. I vet everyone and only take on people I get a good thought about. Typically 1-2 bets a day weekdays and 4/5 on Saturdays. Chases only. Confidentiality essential.

Was the 2019/20 season kind to you, racingguru, or did its premature end affect profitability?

Well you would have to accept me as my name is Trusty :-) but considering I struggle to get my own bets on then I am not going to be any help to you. I can only imagine that you need people based in the big cities as they are the only one's with multiple potential shops.

yes lots of shops and early opening ones is a huge advantage or lots of online accounts and the wherewithall to use them.

You don't manage to make it sound a very attractive or long lasting proposition.

For the placer to make £50 a day, they have to risk £200 a day of their own money.

And how much do you want them to put on of yours every day? £200-£500? more?

So they are going to have to place £400-£700 per day... in how many shops? 7, 14?

That's soon going to get noticed by the shop surely? placing £100 bets early morning, day in day out, week after week.

I'm sure you're genuine, but...... Sounds like a hard way to make an easy living

For the placer to make £50 a day, they have to risk £200 a day of their own money. That is the average profit they make (25%)....and if you don't think that is amazing I don't know what planet you are living on. I might have an 800 pound bet and if the placer is following me at 15% stake he would do 120 for himself plus say 120 for me. The idea is I have several placers so each doesn't have to overstake plus having online accounts. Sure I wouldn't expect a placer to go and ask for 240 on a 5/1 in one shop, but divided in 2/3 shops it's not that hard. This is for people with some time in the morning and if they have a love for racing all the better. They (i hope) would be following my bets to keep their interest and making a decent profit as well. I see it as we are here on a forum of horse racing because we enjoy the sport and challenge of trying to make profit. If I can help make someones hobby which may not be profitable currently into something profitable (and obviously more fun) and they can help me in the process, it's a win, win.

So people will have to take your expertise as a tipster on board, total trust on another's betting beliefs , it seems to me they would be under some stress to make it pay ,plus as already said the shops will cop on very quickly if you are successful as often as you say you are. People who do this are unwilling to take the time to study, yet will get up early to run from billy to Jack placing bets for others with the possibility of huge loses. Good luck with that..

To start questioning what planet I live on is a bit harsh....

After all, I've demonstrated a clear understanding of the maths, and the possible practical obstacles.

Using your own figure = £30 / day, not to mention the variance and I think you also said you had losing seasons.

25% ROI is a fantastic headline number, but when it percolates down to the bet placers bottom line, it's a lot less.

Sure, It sounds fun fun fun, but 10 weeks in after a bad run and being under an obligation to go out daily for 2-3 hours
at a specific time come wind, rain or shine.

But as I said, it seems a hard way to make an easy living for the bet placer.

Well done at finding 25%, absolutely genuine tip of the hat in respect.

I can't help wondering if you could exploit that 25% for much bigger money but less ROI using an exchange

Escapee - I have never ventured to test my model at sp. My gut is I would still have a margin but the margin would be grossly reduced and in many cases i'd be doing different horses. Many of the horses I do in the morning are very heavily backed to a price where i wouldn't consider them value at the off but conversely there are horses i don't do in morning and am gutted to see them win at their sp. (i am not awake to do those).

I believe there is value at all stages of a market in horse racing but I identify a bigger value factor in the morning and so have to risk less to make it pay at that time. If for example i have a 5% margin at sp (after commish) then i'd need to stake 5 times as much....not exactly something I am easy about. Yes less hassle as I wouldn't need anyone but until this model is broken why fix it? It's stood the test of time....but again I understand nothing lasts forever.

Really sorry mate, the terms are clear from the onset. Happy to put you in touch with any of the placers and you can ask how they've done in previous seasons but this is not work work where I'm paying you. Akin it to investment info, you make money by following me. If you're interested in that set up pm me. Also very important...if you don't have enough of a betting bank to bet for yourself (i send for my bets) you will have no motivation.

Does the OP not realise that the game is up? Nobody goes in betting shops post-covid and nobody with half a clue will be accommodated on-line, with the exception of a few media gravy trainers.

So you are saying bookies online and offline are basically not taking bets? That's a good business model for a bookie.....wonder what you think they will do then? Just close up and let the exchanges take over??

Just lump on here and be done with it. Take odds now or near the off.

From what RG has written about his betting style he only bets on chases and will frequently dutch horses, sometimes 3 of the runners in a 5 horse race, so it is important to get the highest price he can.

As said before there is a lot of work involved getting the right prices but that is something we all have to combat. I have occasionally dutched and may well try it in earnest when time allows.
