I note Tim Easterby's GULLANE ONE won second-start back from a layoff last season, running up the track over 6f at Thirsk before improving markedly next-time-out to win at 33/1 over the very same course/distance. It appears as if the yard is trying a similar trick this season.

Problem is, if it had been almost any other trainer in the universe so far reached by light, I would probably have backed it with some alacrity, but T.Easterby - well, I simply don't seem to have any sort of luck backing his runners. And he generally seems to be a trainer who follows the old adage that if you throw enough ordures at a wall, some will stick.

So, what to do ? ConfusedConfusedConfused

Nothing for it : I'll just have to back it and then steal myself for the recriminations that inevitably follow from having backed yet another T.Easterby 'looser'. Plain
