Non PC,REALLY? Never thought of my race creed or colour as a matter of PRIDE,was just NORMAL.......e.g no choice of parentage,location of conception or birth.Only recently become VERY proud of being Caucasian,hetero and born in the United Kingdom,now supposed to be ASHAMED of heritage and history?
What next,Godolphin and The Darley Arabian wiped from history by white racist Brits who dislike Arabs? English,Irish,American,French BREDS etc all come from 3 sources which includes the Byerley Turk.
Ever heard of a single horse going to protest as part of a mob because of ancestory? Neither have I and when I hear the term "Herd mentality" I feel like puking,packs,herds etc are usually cohesive groups,the exception seems to be flocks and even they seem passive.Too deep or complicated for the forum?

Actually the thoroughbred descends from more like 40 middle eastern imports,the others are still represented through female lines. The 3 you have quoted are the only ones whose male lines survived for any time. Unfortunately 2 of those look likely to die out,if not in my lifetime,then in the next 30 years. Then presumably people will say that all thoroughbreds just descend from the Darley Arabian.

We should be ashamed of letting Sheikh Mohammed into the country, let alone on a racecourse, let alone lauding him as a virtuous icon ....Remember the documentary where he hunted down his daughters - one of them had got to just off the coast of India - when all they wanted was to have their freedom to live their own lives outside of Dubai, and now neither has been heard of since. An evil, nasty pernicious tyrannic despot, in my opinion - not only him but all his Godolphin operation should be banned forever from all our racecourses ....
