I blame brexit.

Many on here seem to think it only happens in Ireland, just looked at the Wolves results, looks as if they noted your complaint! Diff rent.
|
By:
It's not that bad Hollie's riding Josephine at Kempton.....
|
By:
Yes workrider it's been very punter friendly at Wolves tonight.
|
By:
Elisjohn, scary thing is you could be right (Bookies).

It's just so difficult at the moment. I like to lay outsiders leading in a race. But they ain't coming back!! Been a bad few days for me.

It's just so difficult at the moment. I like to lay outsiders leading in a race. But they ain't coming back!! Been a bad few days for me. ---------------- Well - THAT is NOT somebody else's fault ... for THEM to - "sort it out"... is it? Never, ever, seem such a SELFISH minded, and short-sighted, Thread in all my time on here. |

Is this thread a wind-up? Got to be.
So, racing did nothing for 11 weeks and then returned with larger average field sizes than normal. The going on its return was good to firm after weeks of hot weather and then it changed to soft because it rained. And punters wonder why results have been hard to fathom? Personally, and I will not be the only one, I've not had a single bet since resumption, preferring to see how things panned out. But, on top of this, the OP seems to have forgotten that, in the fullness of time, results will balance themselves out and we will end up with the age-old average strike rate for favourites of between 32% to 34%. Sadly, perhaps those currently moaning about the perceived poor results should not be betting anyway, as they clearly don't appreciate that successful punting is a marathon not a sprint. But for exactly those type of punters here is some valuable advice - cut back your stakes and even stop until you feel results have turned. You will be furious if you do your brains now and then don't have enough ammunition to take advantage come the time when results turn back for a while. After 48 years of backing horses, and on much else as well, I can tell you that results are never as simple as a clear 33% of winning favourities every day. No, for some unfathomable reason results tend to happen in batches. Some good batches, then some bad ones. The trick is to appreciate this and sit tight through the latter. |

Last week 8/9 favs lingfield, does that count
|
By:
Actually you’re right, bookmakers bribe the trainers, owners, jockeys and horses to let outsiders win, only fair innit
|
By:
@barry dennis says 8/9 Leafy jollies last Friday but his shocking omission is that Ziggle Pops scored at 22/1, thus proving the OP's case that somebody should sort it out.
No good for me mind since I back at the longer prices but in these difficult times, we must all make sacrifices. |
By:
Backers and Layers on here so what exactly should be sorted out?
|
By:
Watch todays results....
What will be the biggest odds winner ? Wild guess we will have a 33/1 win somewhere. Only a matter of time before a 66/1 wins. June is a well known month to favour Favourites as most punters already know from experience. |
By:
If people can't see some of these results ARE bent... Well I'm surprised and shocked.
|
By:
Don't whinge, set the alarm , get up at 3am, and fill your boots.
Done it now for 12 weeks, works for me |
By:
40/1 winner in a 7-runner field at Compiegne this morning and a 25/1 winner at Beverley just now to keep things ticking over :)
|
By:
In Australia, they don't allow runners in double figures to win.
Think it's the law down there! |
By:
True .....no such thing as a 100/1 winner of the Melbourne Cup.
|
By:
473/1 BSP won in oz the other day
|
By:
Exception to every rule.
But I missed that one, where was it? |
By:
If outsiders never won it would be a bloody easy game wouldn't it?
|
By:
Don't know too many who can be arsed to get up every morning @ 3pm to bet horses, even if it was
money for old rope. Do you? |
By:
Another at Beverley
|
By:
218/1 sp purple
|
By:
80/1 shot scrapes home by 3 lengths
|
By:
218/1 wins as it should do.
|
By:
lets double it 80/1
|
By:
Any one who bets in novice races with hardly any form, should not be surprised.
|
By:
Two who finished nowhere last week at Newcastle win at Beverley easily today, 25/1 and 80/1
|
By:
RP
50-1 when finishing well down the field over 6f at Newcastle last week. |
By:
Notabadharada, Kensington 3rd June
SP 150/1 472/1 here. |
By:
I always find it strange how many people always state the bookmakers price when it could be more than double on here.
|
By:
the market on here is win only, bookmaker prices are win or e/w
|
By:
you will go broke laying 150/1-200/1 e/w the bev winner
|
