I got told about this fella who knew the result of the race about 5 seconds before the start and had won thousands in Ireland but had ran out of shops to place the bets obviously didn't believe it I laid him a ton on a 5/1 winner then a 3/1 winner now having me doubts I laid him £20 on the next that won at 12s I then stopped him but he still told me the winner of the next 2 races always 5 seconds before the off. All I knew about him was he was from Ireland and had spent all day everyday in a local shop where he brewed up had the odd bet and kept the place clean - it was sitting in there all day that he realised how to kop for the winner before the race. I was running me own shop at the time and that was it I was obsessed with finding out how he did ( he didnt say obviously ) after about a week of watching every virtual race I finally realised how he did it. There was Portman park - sprint valley and steepledowns - the only "course" he bet on was Steepledowns. Any ideas ???? Never earlier than 5 secs before the race and Steeple downs the jumping track was the giveaway in the end.
Mainroad long time since you have been on here don't now about the virtual situation but a story regarding the bingo yes bloody bingo.
picture this six or more guys playing bingo all of them watching the balls come out thinking its real balls comeing out. little do they no if I press a button after the first ball comes out I get a print out of ALL the numbers that will be out so sad to say when they think they have a chance of winning I no they do not have a chance of winning. a bit like willie in his box.
glad you are still about stay in stay safe save lives Ronnie.

All there ever was were 5 races which went round in a loop - so the 1st race of the day was ran exactly the same as the 6th race and so on. So the winner would come from say stall 4 all they did was swap the line ups - at portman or sprint valley and it would be the horse in stall 4 at at the jump meeting the one lining up 4th at steepledowns. At the flat tracks they were in the stalls but at Steepledowns they would line up at the tape 5 secs before the off time so he could see the colours and the number- he even memorised all the colours. So the bet would be written out £20 or £50 or whatever 11.37 steepledown £50 win number ...... he had 5 secs to write the number and get to the counter the prices were anything he had 100/1 winners a few times it was harder in the big 5 but the indys would take them just after the off. Once he had done all Ireland he came over here and did a few here. Eventually he went back to Ireland and had a lad over here working with him he would be sat there on the phone to the lad over here the lad here would be on the phone making it out he was talking to his Mrs "yes I will be home at 4 o clock bla bla bla " when the lad on the other end would just give him the number so he would already be at the counter with his back to the television !!! I seen this with me own eyes and lost a few quid in the process.

been out of the house once in the last 2 weeks not in good health done my back In don't laugh lifting the poxy hoover.was thinking at the beginning of the year to take early retirement but that has gone on the back burner at this moment in time. regarding shops as you no the days of guys coming in and banging a couple of hundred in a fobt in ten mins have gone but plenty still come in and bang a couple of hundred in in a hour. the sad thing is the otc in all shops have fallen through the floor but gvc will be happy as all the bets are where they want it online.i think a few shops will go but not as many think, I was thinking of you a few weeks ago when a couple of guys from Vietnam came in betting a good few quid on the fobts and otc with scotish money the smell off the notes made my head spin the problem at the moment is when we get a big punter in after a couple of weeks its proof of funds time, sad to say we never see them again.
I still have some duplicate slips if you need some hope you are well stay safe stay in save lives ronnie
