The Betting shop is a national treasure and more so for the industry

We got our bets on before the shops opened and still will if they shut

Your average betting shop punter in his 50's, 60's, 70's or even 80's would go online ?

Well I'm here dealer and I am in my 70s and am old enough to remember when there were no betting shops as haplessamateur has referred to.

Not doubting that for a minute but the betting shop population of 50 somethings compared to the 50 somethings on here, would here even be close to 1%

Once people reach the age of about 35 they start to not like change and have got used to doing things in a certain way. They would still want to bet and would gradually realise this was the way to do it and discover that it was much easier to use than they originally thought.

Unfortunately it is my belief that most betting shop workers become despicable individuals as a result of their
exposure to the nature of their work.It is apparent that they enjoy seeing people (in many cases their friends)
losing money, and the only beneficially is Farfred.
I quote the example of the manager in my town, who happens to be an officiating manager serving the betting
shops at Chelmsford races.
He returns from the course salivating over the fact that HE has won £30k from the 2-day recent meetings.
He seems to revel in the fact that HE, not FatFred has won this money, and to add to this obscenity HE
as the manager actually gets absolutely nothing as a result of this windfall.
What motivates these disgusting individuals who love seeing people lose .
Can only be that they think it ensures their own jobs, but who could continue to work in that environment.
Answers on a postcard.

How do you know he doesnt get some kind of managers bonus for skinning the good people of Chelmsford ? It may also help in his own future career prospects .

One persons story = most betting shop staff

The standard of staff in many shops imo wouldn't know it they have won or lost.
By:

When: 12 Mar 20 13:56
I doubt the majority enjoy people losing
By:

When: 12 Mar 20 14:02
People are monitored and they know the big losers, and they gloat telling everyone who listens how much so and so has lost.
If you think this doesn't happen you are in denial.........or work in a betting shop.
By:

When: 12 Mar 20 14:04
Nener said it didn't happen but I find it hard to believe that you can say it's the majority based on the above

No bonuses, I know him well, he is a Company "Yes" man through and through.
Never had a bet there, just sit there sometimes with my Betfair open.

Betfair issued a statement
saying if the present
situation carries onto August it would cost upto £110 million
Or if racing stopped additional £30m cost per MONTH

Might be an good idea to lower your deposit level

FOTB = £2 a spin
Online casino stake review in progress
No live sporting fixtures
Overseas growth stalled

On the flip side, GVC are big enough to see this through, I think some will fall by the wayside and GVC may pick these up and in long term will be fine.

I am debating going in if hits £3
