It appears the Mackeson will not be a bonus race according to what I have read …...but the Irish Champion Hurdle with 6 runners from 2 stables will.
stable will cost £5 to enter and you can play as many times
The Tote Ten To Follow, the popular competition which ran for more than two decades, is to return this jumps season with guaranteed prize-money of £250,000.
It is the first initiative of the UK Tote Group since the company took full ownership of the Tote last month and will run through the central period of the season from Saturday, November 30 to the Sandown finale on April 25. Entries can be made from Wednesday, November 20.
UK Tote Group managing director Mark Kemp said: “We have been delighted by the positive response from racing fans to the return of Tote Ten To Follow in a new modern format. With £250,000 of guaranteed monthly and season-long prizes to play for, we hope the new Tote Ten To Follow will be as popular as before.
“We are excited to be working with the Racing Post whose extensive reach and depth of coverage will ensure racing fans have all the information they need to pick their stables over the next few weeks.”
The Racing Post will support the competition and publish advice from our leading tipsters on the horses to pick and the strategy to employ as well as the full list of more than 500 horses and regular updates and leaderboards.
Racing Post tipsters Tom Segal and Paul Kealy will give their assessment of the merits of the leading contenders in a forum with jockeys Lizzie Kelly and Nico de Boinville that will be streamed live on Racing Post’s Facebook page and YouTube channel on November 18.

Anyone know is it a free choice from a list of 1000 Horses like the old system? I loved that,as it brought a level of skill into it.The pleasure came in spotting a "nugget" before it became a well known hurdler or Chaser.I once saw the old Game being described as the thinking mans lottery.I was disappointed with the way the game was then ruined by having to pick horses from specific lists{star horses etc} It totally took the skill element away.I feel this contributed to reduced entries,loss off interest and sadly its decline and finish.
Well they have to make money somewhere and they sure ain't making it with the current £100/£200 tote pools

The 'Premier Tipsters' should put a team together, just need to pick the 10 highest rated horses.
I would be more than happy to team up with a few of them Boys in The Premier Division they don't get there by accident.

I remember the old competition and I am fairly sure I entered it but I can't remember how much it cost to enter.
Presumably back then we had to send a cheque (no paypal or electronic transfer in them days) but I have no recollection of posting a cheque to the Racing Post .

way before internet suff i think we had 1000 horses to choose from . all with a number which you entered on a grid of 10 entries . then sent it off to the tote .
Managed to finish 23rd in one of the early years ,back when if memory serves me right you just picked your own horses no list to choose from ?
The worst thing was if one or two of your selections might get injured or be out for the season early on, but this can play to your advantage if you haven't picked a horse that is a popular horsethat most have put in, I think you need irish horses as they see to be running every week

One of the great joys and challenges of the original format lay in taking a chance on a dark one.
Changing it so that the competition could simply leap on your bandwagon after Christmas destroyed that and, I would argue, the whole thing.

How many subs are allowed, surely not a ridiculous amount, it is unfair though on someone that unearths a dark one that ends up being a big festival contender only for others to be able to jump on the bandwagon late on.
^ As I said in the 3rd post the substitutions totally ruined it for me - shan’t be bothering with it now.

Definitely don't leave to the last minute..deposited £60 10pm last night and now money has just appeared in my account 12 1/2hrs later!
Although Tote are giving a warning .."Just so you know, in some cases it might take up to 5 minutes for your balance to display once you've deposited. But rest assured if you wait five minutes and refresh it will be there."
Penzance..if you click your mouse in between horse names you can scroll down all the horses..then you have to click back on the right side of the screen if you want to scroll down your stables.
I also had the bonus race tab on instead of all horses tab so I spent hours going through only half the horses
so something to watch out for.

stuck a few entries in for an interest. i was like you Penzance, took me ages to find out how to get more horses up. ended up using the up down arrows on keyboard
First bonus race on Saturday..up to 18 ten to follow horses running in it..could have a big impact on the final result even though it's the first day..especially if a big price winner..I've got 7 of them covered

Managed to select my first list but a bit like pulling teeth...Confirm and purchase and ten minutes later I am still waiting....Bring back the postal entries ffs.

Horrible website! As for the subs rule. I think 2 is OK during just one transfer window.
