Was at Punchestown when Carlys Quest won the Champion Stayers Hurdle at a big price. I had a good each way bet and really cheered Mercer home. A great day out curtesy of Blue Square who paid for everything apart from the bets (I won a competition with them for corporate hospitality for the day including flights).
RIP Ferdy Murphy |

Related to this just looked at a fella who used to post a lot of informative stuff on here, now on twitter. It appears that Analogs Daughter the poster is suffering from Depression(If i've read it correctly, not a twitterer), sorry to hear that AD, hope you are on the road to recovery and you are much missed on here.
Some great pictures he's got up on there. |

His depression was not helped by his being threatened over copyright issues for some of the pictures he posted on twitter. To act like that against a pensioner who is just reviving wonderful memories of races and racehorses of the past for no financial gain seems a bit rum.

Oh right, had no idea how petty.

French Holly was a beast.... always remember seeing that horse in real life and not on the telly.

Aces Four could have been a cracker only for the fall at Punchestown when about to win. Never came back the same.
Was running Denman a race in the RSA and scooted up at Aintree. |
