5/1-10/1 Promising in points and from a stable with a decent bumper record. On the face of it absolutely no reason for it to drift.

From a distance looked to have plenty of scope.

Plenty of use made of him in his last point and looked a thorough stayer. So why hold him up in a slowly run race when clearly the horse was using up energy wanting to go quicker? A few times Hughes was looking round for no obvious reason and his riding in the straight suggested he was just waiting for the horse to drop away.

Time will tell but suspicion that the horse is a little bit better than the face value of that run.

And as usual a horse ridden by Hughes finds not alot off the bridle.  I appreciate he is a talented rider in getting horses to jump and travel but not a fan

If you are trying to win a bumper by exploiting stamina then Hughes is probably a long way down the list but that clearly wasn't the intention.

when the betting goes the other way, you will get a fair guide how good it is

Same connections run a similar type in the last at Catterick tomorrow.

Went off 1/1 to beat a subsequent £180,000 Henderson purchase. Travelling well enough but too early to say what would have happened when it departed.

Lets see how this one travels in the market as it again looks a winnable race.
