Kidney problems? beta blockers have a lot of contraindications.

Ramapril is an Ace Inhibitor to regulate the size of the heart, not a beta blocker to my mind. Most beta blockers end in lol, as in bisoprolol, etc ? I have always thought beta blockers a dubious benefit.Never heard of losotarn Peter, why ?

treetop, its Losartan changed doctors from UK to Spain and she said that she did not like ramipril

Losartan is one of only two BP meds that did not give me dreadful side effects. Most people get on well with it. If you Google Ramapril there was a report in the BMJ a couple of weeks ago that there is a small percentage increase of users who get lung cancer after being on it.

been on ramipril 20 yrs + nurse said to me your on a very low dose,,if you gave up smoking you would not need them ,then ive just developed restless leg syndrome night time, take tablet for that so I can sleep, makes you drowsy when you wake up takes 2 hours to ware off ,so don't need ramipril as much.

I gave up smoking (cigs, pipe and cigars) in 1993 after enjoying it for over 40 years. A doctor later told me that after seven years my chances of heart disease or lung cancer would be as if I had never smoked. Seven years later I had hypertension.Go figure.
