My one arrived today with a note of apology saying that due to the demand they had had run out and had to order more that were the same but without the Racing UK logo. Basically it looks like the Coral one without the Coral name all over it.
Tote used to be very generous with theirs. When on course if you placed a £5 Exacta bet they gave you one. I had eight one year. Hills rep used to give them out on course until fairly recently.

The bean counters involved have figured out they save 80p per non issued diary .
In PR terms though such narrow minded decisions are counter productive .
In bookmaking terms , winning bets are mortal sins nowadays . Losing bets are viewed as a right .
The concept that you have the percentages ( over which you have ultimate control) stacked in your favour , so the bigger the turnover the more profit you make seems to have disappeared . Don't understand the approach/logic applied by the major bookmaking chains these days , their shops are all devoid of customers , turnover must be down , so logic dictates they should be out there looking for custom . Instead they are restricting customers and a lot won't lay an egg to someone looking for a decent bet . I see only one outcome long term , the poor house .
