It looks a bad idea now. As I have said before after what happened at last year's Festival I wouldn't touch him over any distance if he returns.
That doesn't mean to say they can't find some more relatively uncompetitive races in the meantime. |

They probably assumed the ground wouldn't be as good as it was today

Don't try putting mr holdup Russell on him and trying to out speed a 2m on a more staying type for starters

Was very surprised he was pitched against Footpad despite his trainer stating he'd not do so to please Russell; left floundering when the pace quickened after the pacesetter fell. It seems the only Festival option left could be the JLT given his lack of stamina in the Albert Bartlett last Cheltenham, I'd imagine.

No sense at all in running him over the trip. Big disappointment at last years Festival after showing great battling qualities beforehand, he seems over-rated now.

he is not over rated he is what he is a good horse well above average but at this stage falls short against the very good ones.

mjk post about the ground wont be far out.

He looked like he was destined for the top as he had those battling qualities the champions have on top of the promising ability. Doesnt seem to have matured as you would have hoped to compete with the best.

One of several horses yesterday whose bad run will be blamed on the distance of the race but in reality wouldn't have won over any trip
