all betfair have to do is implement a trigger that when the stater lets go of the tape/stalls open, the market suspends automatically . the signal could be sent via 4G or something similar ( radio frequencies maybe

how come we get a load of posters on the forum when panic sets in 
looks like they are going to void the race ,, all bets maybe voided in this race
its not difficult to sort it out=apply the Vodkatini rule.

a) official race voided
b) beafair bot has screwed up and done some dough

Will Betfair compensate me for the three winners which I would have backed, but couldn't get on due to their foul-up?

I backed the winner at BSP was 24 or 25 before the race was it? happy with the result but BSP has to be manipulated was 16.5 or they didn't suspend in time more like it
lad i know laid £1800 @2.2 when tape went up..another lad i know laid £200 @9 when tape went up...the 1800 been voided the 200 paid.
Same, cant even find the lay bet now that was matched. Not in history as matched, cancelled or voided. funny the matched back bet is clear to see.
if it's all above board you'll get paid, if you're one of wazza's mates sitting there all day waiting to rip people a new backside on fallers, photos, stewards, objections, dodgy starts you might not.

Similar situation here, had 2 lay/back bets, 1 lay settled, 2 backs but not 2nd lay!!
They were late suspending the market at the off yes?

the point is, the suspend guy can be slow on many races everyday . just because on this occasion a horse refused to race ( and more so that it was the fav ) it shouldn't matter to those that layed it pre-race or in-running.
beggars belief that a time can be ascertained as to when the cut off point is becos the market wasnt manually suspended on time.
i can't ever re-call bets being voided because of slow suspension of markets . it is only because the hore refused to race as some bots money got swept , nothing to do with slow suspension imo
no different to a horse falling or being pulled up, I thought I had won about £30 on the race, then it showed my balance was minus over £50, then after an hour or so I managed to lose £4 on the race, utter madness, they cancelled some bets and left others. ALL bets should stand

longbridge they don't resettle every race as per the official start time afaik.
Just seems odd that in a scenario where automated betting is likely to have been at a severe disadvantage, they take a close look and resettle.

so basically they saying..if their suspender is late they can re adjust to a time they decide?
