Quick Query Guys. Just wondering what is the average liability with a high street bookmaker in shop, on an early morning price, before they will call head office to get approval on the bet?

Most of them £25. I stayed over in Manchester after a united game and went to a city centre ladbrokes shop in the morning, wanted £75 on a 5/1 shot. They said Gangs went round the shops putting bets on the same horses so had a £25 limit. Disgusting. Corals are £25 from my experience. Will hill the only ones who are any good. They used to have a £2000 liability on the horses although they normally price up less races than the rest.

Thanks Siralex.

Is there any firms other them WH, that will lay a liability of £1,000 per bet?

Simplest way is just to walk in shops and ask managers, you will find there are more than you think will accept bets maybe not for long I only do forecast bets in shops and regularly win 3 figures from local hills shops, althiugh I havn't been in a books for years.

I speak in facts delta. Unlike most people.
Paddy opened a new shop and boasted they would take £300 bets with no problem. I started putting £100 on half a dozen horses a day on overnight and early morning prices and they made me sp within 1 month. Betfred used to be £50 max without referring I seem to remember. I only ever backed win singles though so not sure about multiples.
As for you delta, I lost for 20 years, won for 4 years with loads of accounts, lost for 2 years when I had nowhere but exchanges to bet with and then since April I have been winning again as I have 4 new sets of accounts.

You can bet any horse to win £5,000 with Corals so, if you fancy one, take your partner with you and find a cluster of their shops and you'll easily be able to back your fancy to win £30,000 with Corals at their standout price.

I think we all know that's bullshit. What happens is you ask for £100 at 8/1, they phone it through and cut the price to 7/1 whilst you wait and say you can have the £100 at the new price. They are a joke shop.

Anyone who can get an early price with Corals is a better man than me. I can't get a tanner on with that mob even when I'm wearing a false moustache!Shocked
