need a bit more substance

I watched last year's Becher chase a few times, as it should be a fair pointer to the National with several of today's field running in the race. I thought Highland Lodge ran a brilliant race and I'd want him on my side, but I can't back an 11yo. Vieux Lion Rouge's pedigree suggests he might not stay and I'd worry about The Last Samurai's weight. My 2 from the Becher would be One for Arther and Ucello Conte, I've backed Ucello Conte as I was really impressed with his jumping and I'm hoping that the extra distance will suit him, I'll probably have a saver on Blaklion, just incase he really takes to the fences.

As long as it is not Saint Are -- I'd be too ashamed for racing if the rest of the world sees Davy Russell do that hand-wavy celebration thing that makes him look a right muppett.

Fancied Ucello Conti for months but the buzz around him at the start of the season seems to have evaporated.

The Last Samurai's weight is a real concern but I still think he'll be thereabouts and Blaklion could, I say could, win in a canter!

How about that for confidence?!?
