that's either rancid or massive trainer error for using him

lets hope ken wakes up by the time carlisle comes around next week coz that bellend shouldn't be anywhere near his horses

That was b*nt as a corkscrew given to much to do deliberately seemed to be hooking him up big time

Not trying a yard simple as that. No doubt will be punted winner next time or the time after. A very well handicapped horse.

Quite possibly. Either way, the horse will no doubt not be set so much to do another day.

Yes i certainly wasn't defending the ride it got, that's as obvious as they come, nice little sighter for them when they want it off this mark.

The Stewards held an enquiry into the running and riding of BELL WEIR, ridden by Ross Chapman and trained by Kenneth Slack, which was held up in rear before staying on under apparent tender handling to finish second, beaten by 12 lengths. They interviewed the rider and the trainer. They also received a report from the Veterinary Officer who confirmed that a post-race examination, during routine testing, of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities, and observations from the Handicapper. The rider stated his instructions were to drop in and get the gelding travelling and jumping and see how he goes. The trainer confirmed the instructions and was satisfied with the ride given, however having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race, the Stewards found the rider in breach of Rule (B)59.4 and guilty of failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures throughout the race. They suspended him for 10 days as follows: Friday 17 to Sunday 26 February 2017.

Yep, agree with above - posted my thoughts on the To The Stwds topic.

Trainer and horse are very, very luck to escape punishment, and in all honesty, Slack will think this is a job well done, with young Chapman only getting 10 days.
Abysmal advert for racing from a yard already under suspicion for their 'amazing' strike rate in the second half of last season
