Far more enjoyable than channel 4's version. This seems more about the racing and less about fawning over guests.

Enjoy watching it, my only gripe it is on a bit late, an earlier time slot like 9 would be better.

I suppose you can be over analytical but find it quite boring. Annie power, great mare, blah blah blah.

Having said that the likes of Ruby and Davy are always interesting.

Really disappointed with the content today, I don't think that we really needed to dwell on the chances of Thistlecrack and co, it would have been nice to have had a little help with the big hcps where maybe there is some value. The feature on Southfield Royale and the Sky Bet Chase was pathetic, did anybody actually tell us what they fancied and more importantly why? All I got was that Southfield Royale might need the run, but there again, maybe he wont.

Watching this now.

This show was never going to please everyone but I like it. I stopped watching The Morning Line. The Opening Show seems much more relaxed.

I will record the racing, which starts in half an hour and start watching it at 1.00. Will avoid most, if not all, the ads that way.

Cheltenham fever perhaps? It will be the same with the Festival previews in a month or so: 90 per cent of the time is spent discussing the championship races where every punter and his granny knows most of the contenders and all of the odds-on ante-post jollies.

Very good show this morning, though i would had liked to hear what dickie had to say about Rock The Kasbah .

Raleigh Gilbert thought The Dikler was going to cause an upset while a motionless John Francome was taking his goggles down cantering all over him on Bula

comparing francombe and harvey - priceless.  Good job harvey is now a form expert!!

Good show again this morning. I enjoyed the day in the life if a racehorse. It's nice to see behind the scenes at different stables.

Gary Moore's horses have freshly picked grass mixed in with their breakfast every morning

Any show with Luke Harvey as a senior analyst can't be taken seriously.

ITV's racing's target audience is for passive viewers and its dumbing down is excruciating, unwatchable in my view.

Terrestrial channels have to target a wider audience but what's this show about?

No guests or analysts to ask serious questions or any worthwhile features. I don't think it wold work but no attempt at form analysis or even a look at the markets.

There probably isn't any harm in LH but he's the class clown.

I didn't think it was possible but it has deteriorated from the ML format

A very boring and bland programme. The equivalent of BBC 's  The Ons Show.

It does seem that most on here don't like it as much as The Morning Line.

F -- ITV better than IMG Morning Line and late-period Highflyer Morning Line. Arguably early Morning Line was best: light-hearted but taking the racing seriously as they ran through all the races from two meetings.

I can highly recommend recording the racing then watching at about an hour into the programme. It's great being able to avoid all the adds.

Horrible fall for The Dutchman. Looks ok, thankfully.

I too record the program and watch delayed ,so as to miss adverts.....mind I do this with all programs , doubt I have seen an advert in a a decade.

I record almost everything, too, sixtwosix.

ITV are doing a great job with the racing. I can't fault it.

The coverage of the actual racing is good.  But the ' magazine ' 10am programme is boring.

To be honest I just stick it on and if there's anything interesting well good.If not I'm not that bothered Roll on the first live race

Dont we all, at 10am is their anything else on offer that will pass as reasonable for an hour if you love horse racing?

I think we are lucky that itv want horse racing, as shown by the bbc they pander to the libtard and it wont be long before they attack horse racing......

I ran through it today and again it's ok, it's not designed for us diehards of the sport but I think it is better than ML over the past 3 years.

Ed is doing a good job presenting the afternoon programme and I don't mind Fitzy and Harvey which I do on ATR.

ITV,ATR and RUK all have their strengths and weaknesses and we should be thankful that we are well served.

They could spend 10 minutes just showing old clips for me.

The programme now has it's formula , and an a country mile ahead  of what the Morning Line became ,  dull , stiff , bookie obsessed rubbish.

I am not sure who owns the rights to the old races. Some screened on BBC some ITV some CH4 . Maybe their hands are tied

I wish they would relent with the panel being stuck outside , in all weathers . I thought Brough Scott was going to suffer from hypothermia . It does nothing to encourage new people to try attending a NH race meeting . On public perception , it makes a day at the races look about as appealing as a pleasure cruise on an Icelandic trawler !

I didn't think it looked good a senior citizen like Mr Scott  stood outside in that weather  , it is hardly going to help the quality of the discussion is it ?

With The Tooth Fairy , The Butcher's Boy and not so Lucky Luke it is not for me. Brough Scott was the final straw.

I have to say that this is different class to the Morning Line.

The lack of musical montages at every opportunity showing close up slow motion replays of winning connections exchanging bodily fluids is a huge improvement, imho.

I wouldn't mind just an hour of the old clips. Nice to see Crisp and Red Rum this morning.

They need to improve their analysis and previews of the day's big Handicap races..
At the moment they're given a cursory glance, with the main emphasis on what Harvey is tipping.
Poor.
Plus, I can't quite put my finger on why, but I find the whole programme bland. Shouldn't be, because they
have a varied menu of slots, but it's just - boring !
