Hmmm I thought that was how you spelt lose

I am not some mug punting dude who just picks something out of his ass

Quick example as to what I was up too,

Favs under 3.2 that lead and trade in running was working great on practice mode and then live not so good
there seems to be no sense sometimes on in running markets, horses lead and dont come in and horses held up and are backed head wreckedConfused

Has anyone had a go at Trading the horses web site???
Report Roger De Bris October 4, 2015 8:33 PM BST
Dave Nevison will hook you up with a new system....
Report danny111 October 4, 2015 8:37 PM BST
Oh thanks ROGER
Report dave1357 October 4, 2015 8:44 PM BST
There is utterly no chance whatsoever that an in running "system" will be successful ie a broad strategy that involves putting up prices pre-race.  Firstly the spread is much higher than pre and secondly there are too many people at the course who are extremely good judges and won't make a mistake big enough for you to beat commission.

If you are very good you might be able to get an edge by preparing well and waiting for an opportunity in a race (obv with reasonably fast pictures).

Don't you you think enough people are already going against what they're "taught" by those "highly successful" trading fakers? That's why you'll find there's no consistent edge on either side. Unless you're able to read markets better than 90% of others, you can only expect to be bullied around by the WOM laid down by the sharks.

Report deadbrain59 October 6, 2015 8:36 AM BST
laying favs 3.2 under,on mass would not work, far too many bets, count out all trainers strike rate 10%above,go to max 5.0,lay below in running isp.gl
Report Lex October 6, 2015 2:01 PM BST
Horseracing is cyclic. You go up and down in equal measure. So, you trial an idea and it works.
You go live and it dont, so you give up.
Do this, paper trade through up down, up down, at least 10 times.
If it still makes munny you have an edge.

then sort your staking out by dividing your bank by twice your longest losing run.
Only recalc your stake once your bank is in profit.
Report deadbrain59 October 6, 2015 2:10 PM BST

does that mean that if a horse sent off fav @ under 3.2 made the running, you would then back it IR to trade out at shorter later? doesnt sound like something you could paper trade..unless you were predicting which would lead and backing them @ BFSP?
Report Lex October 6, 2015 2:37 PM BST
If its a method rather than system you can still log your results.
The very important point is that your selections /method must be made with consistant methodology. It cant be random or just skill.
