absolute joke on betfair's part, new site is awful, you might well as try an alternative site as that will need getting used to as well.
|
By:
old site is still there but for me they seem to have killed the ability to place bets, you can log in but not use the betting functions, i assume that's the same for everyone?
|
By:
Same for me today
|
By:
yes,must be same all round,joke
|
By:
Old site fine here.
|
By:

|
By:

Wicklow totally agree , a few survivors now rounded up bet they feel real clever about that , betfair nothing like the place it was in the early years
|
By:

Exactly what have they gained by preventing those of us in the UK from placing a bet on the Aussie site. It's absolutely ridiculous. Final workaround has been closed for no reason whatsoever. **** 'em - I only use the site to place those ridiculous live video bets which are mandatory to watch the races. After that I will use the old Aus site to see colours , form , graphs and everything else I can use . So it won't prevent me using it. Stupid idiotic jobsworths.
The new site is next to useless for placing bets and they can't seem to acknowledge the fact. And the amount of CPU it uses is shocking which slows your whole PC down. Speed is of the essence when betting. |
By:
they seem to be doing everything to upset the original concept of betfair unfortunately.
|
By:
the format of the old site is the best around and nothing has come close to it since
I wont be the using the new site and if that means not using betfair then so be it |

Seem to remember there was a method of disguising your IP address to get around bookies' account limitations.
Might that work here? |
By:
Has anyone challenged them on this? I'm going to Twitter them and see what their response is. Will let you know.
|
By:
Grey shark-you are right ,the bastards
|
By:
Betfair = Rancid outfit
|
By:

|
By:
betfair customer services...hmm why do I keep thinking chocolate fireguard
|
By:
1.01 tough like it or lump it.
|
By:
I've been using the other place to put a few bets on for the past few weeks now and it isnt that bad. I know its been said many times before but loads more need to do it. As from today i've doubled the amount. May go there full time in the near future.
|
By:
Waste of time floozy.
|
By:
Have they ever given a logical reason why they don't want anyone using the old site?
|
By:
Likewise here .
Just Placed bets on NEW Site - and - they are all showing on the OLD site - that I have open on another Browser Window. |
By:
You don't have to explain things in an autocracy PF.
|
By:
@onlooker
Well they would, wouldn't they? New site and old site are looking at the same bets and markets? |
By:
Has happened in the last few days onlooker. All your bets will appear on the old site but they have withdrawn the wherewithal to put the fckers on there.
|
By:
sends me to old for multiples...i mainly use api and the gruss for purple is nowhere near as good,so couldn't go anyway, plus the amount of traffic would send purple into the abyss
|

I think the new site has become slightly faster. However, the 1 sec refresh is too slow when you have been used to quicker. I can believe anybody that still finds it sluggish but I think it has improved speed wise. Other issues that are mainly 'cosmetic' but add up to be a problem - they have not been addressed.
The huge gaps, incomplete horse names, having fewer runners on screen, the resposnsible gambling and registered in Malta sh1t at the bottom of the market, cancel all unmatched being moved for no reason, just fcking sort it. The market on the new site changes beyond all recognition to fit in your P+L next to each outcome. The distance from the top horse to the bottom increases by about 50%. |
By:
Oh no finally have to try the new site
Well I'm packing up the football betting as my own mini protest (don't win so will save me money lol). See how it goes on the Racing, anyone trying the vpn route? |
By:
a vpn, obviously coming in from oz then yes should work, they get to know your ips though so any sudden changes will be well highlighted
|
By:
dissapointing doesnt start to cover this cupid stunt from betfair
|
By:
dear betfair, please ignore all the bilshute from these old, £2 punting fogies set in their ways; they are simply unable to adapt to change. the new site is a vast improvement imo so please keep up the great work. Kind regards,
|
By:
my head is banging me after an hours play on the new site - is it the yellow header/the smaller boxes/the font of the numbers/all the blank space
I dont know which one is to blame - I just find myself looking at the screen with my eyes squinting. This cant be right - ffs. I do agree its speeded up - but if your head hurts when you look at something - then its not good for your mojo/concentration. |

^ Wicklow - On New Site - when logged-in, and on HORSE RACING.
Top-Right - 'Settings' > Select 4th down 'Interface' > Tick the bottom option 'Alternative Colour Scheme' It Changes the Orange Banner to Black - and the Back and Lay Backgrounds become not as vivid, aswell. |
By:
Onlooker - yah Ive tried that - but to be honest its just as bad as sure everything is just blurred into the same colour. Alternative colour scheme my hole - its just another 2 fingers back at you.
|
By:
Trouble is there is too much unwanted extra opportunity. Should be more options to eliminate this dross!

Kind regards, Why do people use "a £2 punter" as an insult? Are the £1000 punters superior in some way? |
