Can anyone tell me how the hell Johnston gets away with convincing people he's anything other than a dart thrower after that complete and utter balls up this afternoon please?
His horses go from the gate & sit 1,2,3 (we'll ignore the headwind in the straight for now) they manage to rev each other up enough so that if the winner hadnt taken two horses out as it came through (from sitting last, which might indicate the pace was overly strong) NONE of the Middleham Maestro's horses would have hit the frame.....
Seriously, that is just shambolic. Best prize most of these will get to run for this season & quite simply the three jockeys have knackered that after being gifted pole position....

The media just wouldn't expose anyone in the game as a dart thrower.

You have only got to look at the level of publicity associated with his million losers in a row last season as opposed to his 'return to form' this season.

Did you hear his interview after the second race at Epsom? Apparently wasn't sure which of his was going to win despite the winner coming home like a 1/10 shot.

They are all the same.  A rancid crowd the lot.  Main reason I give up going to the live racing

Didn't he name, "the other horse," (in Buratino's race) incorrectly - in that post-race interview.

I, too, thought that it was both naive and embarrassing to say afterwards that he thought, "the other horse," - "would be as good as Buratino."

If the moneys good and you have the darts then you throw them .You dont win races with horses in their stalls looking out,run them and thats what he does.
