Im not a winner but im restricted to 2p multiples  never had any restrictions on any accounts ever betting flat out for 10 years.

I tried to place a 50p E/W lucky 15
Was told to try the exchange

I asked them in their latest online Q&A, "Do Betfair still welcome winners, and if so, why am I restricted on the sportsbook?"   They did not answer the question.

The traders know whether you will be profitable to them by looking at your exchange history.

Yes I am afraid it does not matter who you are. If you are a winning punter who nevertheless puts lots of liquidity into the markets on the exchanges, gets invited to free exchange do's as a valued customer, the fact remains that you will immediately be banned from the sports book. The two even talk to each other so if you are good exchange player I doubt that they will wait to find out how good you are on the book.

Seriously? Do you think everyone is stupid enough to do that. If you bet a few on their sportsbook and they shorten you are finished and that's that.

Who knew there so many shrewd and winning punters around but who can't get bets on cos of the nasty bookies not taking their bets.

A miracle the bookies survived the 50 years or so before the BF Forum was invented.

You don't have to be shrewd (just not stupid) or win to be restricted/closed.

Big Issue - do you honestly think that the books take every wager? Do you honestly think punters who get restricted are a rarity? Before Betfair was around they would take a bet because that was their business, now their business is online casinos and machine in the shops. Horse racing is certainly not in their future plans, that is 1.01.

This "book" would be a perfect introduction for an 8 year olds pocket money account.

normal is like 68p sometimes says max allowed £1.76.

Lucky 15's are always max £0.00

The promotion of back a winner at 3/1 or bigger get a free bet, I had one horse think I tried like just £20 was allowed something like £7 at 7/2. When it won I tried to put the "free bet on an 8/1 shot. Max stake £1.25. Struggled to find a horse I could bet on with the free bet. Obv the 8/1 shot won and the 6/4 shot I had to put it on as no other horse I could get the free bet on lost.

It's possible  sportsbook  are actually worse than Broyles

I think they are the worst....last week restricted to 62p on a 16/1 shot now everything is max £10 liability.
Wrote to them saying I have earned them £30K in commission over the years and must be there shareholders dream could they explain the logic in restricting to this extent...got the standard reply at 2am.

Presumably if you are a winner on the Sportsbook then on a one to one basis you are taking their money despite them obviously making far more than that off losing punters, yet the bigger picture doesn't really come into play here and you're still a winner over them as far as they are concerned and that costs them money.

They don't really care if you are a winner or loser on the exchange part of their business because they still make money out of your bets via their commission rate regardless of who wins in your matched bets. I appreciate that's stating the obvious but still.

They dont ban winners. Just restrict them to pennies.

Dont mind if they are going to allow winners to only bet in pence , if they advertise it !!!!!!!..But no dont pertend to show you are allowed to win ..

Am as a so called premier customer thats has earnt betfair lots over many years , this is how they treat me..

Worst so called bookmaker going !!!!!!!!!!!!
