Click on the 3 green bars in top right hand corner and click on settings in the pop-up menu.
Scroll down to 'Show Advanced Settings.' and click on it
Scroll down to 'Reset Browser Settings' and click on it
Google should now reset to its default setting and should help avoid crashes etc. Just remember if you use Chrome to remember your Passwords (Betfair etc) it will clear them, along with cookies, pop-ups etc which is whats causing most of your problems anyway.

On the LEFT Hand Menu - You will see 'REGISTRY' - Select that, aswell - in order to CLEAR Out that, too - given that you have been having Installing/Uninstalling issues.
