Got the feeling that he would have won a novice by now but he is a bit tricky and happy to take on from here. It went a bit sour on the flat after a while and something about his recent performances suggest he might just be heading that way again as he has looked like winning but found a way to finish tamely.

Not a great race but although he can win just don't think he will. GL all.

Layed Double Chocolate @5.5 7.30 Newton Abbot.

Covered this old boy before and he has done well enough for this yard.

Happy to take on from this point as he has been shorter and think plenty will take him on pre race in what looks an open contest. His running style should help the IR cover as he can be both keen and lazy so he rarely runs without a little help for layers.

The one thing he should do is complete and on this ground that might equate to a placing so very much a trade rather than just stand the initial bet. GL all.

Trainer has a great record here but this fella looks very much worse going against now the money has come. Novices from Ireland are decent when coming here but for me this looks like one that was not good enough twice and last time appeared to have a problem.

Not impossible but this looks a tight race and he looks very tradable from here. GL all.

Bit frustrating in that with the pre race drift and plenty above lay price in running could have a have taken to green.

Looks a competitive race and in some respects a handicap might represent something of an easier task than the last chase run. He is however a horse who does not find winning easy and often starts short so just the type I like to take on.

His chase mark is fine compared to his hurdle mark but just have a feeling he is soft and looks very much worth opposing. Been longer than this so hopefully so pre race drift. GL all.

Yes Delta, that was our home for 12 years. It was stunning and unique. Our business was very successful but that was not all the story. Like most old properties it was a money pit which takes the edge off the profitability but we learnt loads of skills. For example we pointed the entire exterior walls in all weathers on tiny towers!

The joke was that we still managed to leave France with a small fortune, sadly we arrived with a large oneGrin

Great times but happy to back in the UK, missed going racing, pointing especially and next season in the EPL with Burnley will be fun whatever.

Quite surprised to see this boy so well backed and he looks very tradable from here. Not sure if he was in another stable that he would be this price.

He does go from the front so hoping for some pre race drift but just think he looks vunerable off 120 with two concerns, jumping and the fact that he can take quite a pull.

The race itself looks open with no horse making a compelling case but happy to take on from here. GL all.

Interesting move up in trip and fences for the first time so a degree of guesswork needed. Even after the change of stable for me he still looks to be on the down grade and happy to take on from this price.

The race itself is a decent little contest with 6 possible winners and in many ways reflects how competitive summer jumping has become.

Likely imo to drift from here and if given a confidence boosting quiet ride hopefully some cover trades IR should be matched. GL all.
Report NOW WE KNOW July 26, 2016 6:22 PM BST
Well he does not look like a chaser, on that evidence not brave enough and the connections probably took the price in. Would oppose next time over hurdles or fences.

Covered this one before and although not impossible he looks worth taking on again from this starting point.

His mark remains the same despite some tame finishing efforts so no relief there. The drop back in trip might help but just have a strong feeling that he will not see out what looks like being a competitive and truly run race. Add in the fact that he pulls and is not the greatest jumper and he looks worth being against.

Fair race and have the feeling that like Beau Phil if he was in a different yard he would be a much bigger price. GL all.

Our first representative will be Pitch High as he travels down to Brighton on Monday. He ran a promising race on debut and then showed nothing next time out but I have the feeling that the ground may have been too firm for him that day so hopefully the rain that has recently fell over Brighton will help him out this time. He is quite a big horse so I would be a bit worried about him handling the track's unique lumps and bumps but he will qualify for a handicap rating after this and should progress with time.
