WALOFS. Was gonna go Wolverhampton tonight, normally £10 now double the price because Scouting For Girls are performing after racing.

If tracks double the price why don't they have a scheme where racegoers who leave before the concert are given a voucher for free admission to a future fixture?

That should please pretty much everyone except those who have travelled a long way and are infrequent visitors to the track in question.

I agree Banned_Banks. That or paying a little extra after racing to watch/be closer to the band or act.

Well I saw the Beatles, the Ronettes, Del Shannon & Jimmy Tarbuck  all on the same bill for 4 shillings, so would not be interested in seeing these Brownies for Girls for £20 - no chance  Grin

The gate receipts shows it works well for the courses.People that are against it are in the minority.
Same as I wouldn't pay extra,to be extra uncomfortable, for a festival meeting, although, again, gate receipts stand up.
We have the choice of going on many other days,so why worry about concerts and festivals!

Just goes to prove that the average intelligence of the people that attend these things is depressingly low.

It's the reason I didn't go to Doncaster a few weeks ago and instead chose Thirsk, double the price and a day spent with a load of kids........no thanks!!!
