I used to follow sir henry/lester almost blindly as a kid, was hooked on them when I first went racing at goodwood, on the hill, as a 14yo on holiday, had backed red rum a few times in the national before that but remember listening to racing results on radio (way before teletext even) and finding out that strigida had won at royal ascot to net my first ever all correct lucky 15. when I found out later that sir henry was born in Aberdeen, as I was, that just bought the affinity closer. RIP.
