they went a real pace there for the conditions, or appeared to, i doubt he thought the horse would empty like that. plenty of great armchair jocks on here |

I´m not his biggest fan but Sam Thomas is riding without any confidence at the moment. Though on this occasion he did nothing wrong. Horse looked home and hosed until he weakened after the last.

Imo he has never been the same jockey since his disastrous fall on the home gallops at Nicholls on Woolcombe Folly. The same confidence has never re-emerged.

The horse had never proved himself on heavy ground over this trip....Stamina was always a slight doubt, he should have kept hold of him.
