By:
Leaves on the trees in the first pic, not a leaf in sight on the 2nd
|
By:
yes nobody in Scotland wore Puma trainers in the 80's
|
By:
evening fawwon,
just to back up what the others were saying about the 2nd pic showing the finish, the track layout with the houses in the background looks from aerial photos to be only one of 3, redcar, thirsk or at a push doncaster the best fit looks like thirsk as mentioned by tommy the colours are the same as your nott picture, at first i thought it was the same horse as both had diamond blazes but the 2nd animal has one white sock, could your man have been following an owner or trainer? |
By:
10 is hamilton.defo
|
By:
ok then 1.Hamilton , 2.Thirsk.
|
By:
if anyone can track down a copy i'm using collins racecourses, has aerial photos & mapping from about 10 years ago, good reference book for any fan if you can find it
|
By:
yea.2nd could be thirsk but the houses seem unfamiliar and close.
|
By:
The back of the Hamilton grandstand in number 10, can be found by google search images. I think either they left the back up or copied it when the new stand was put up, since your picture was taken.

M.Tebbutt on the winner
|
By:
So - We are now looking for the Winner of a Sprint race at Thirk -
- Drawn High - Light Blue colours - with Dark Blue Epaulettes, or 'V' ...... - when Hillman Imp's were in vogue. Should be easy. |
By:
Second one is Thirsk for my money. If you get the aerial view up, you can see the houses - there's a couple, then a gap for the road, then another row of half a dozen.
