The usual shambles from the BBC as far as racing is concerned, lamentable is the only way to describe it.

It's not just Racing, though.

Football 'Live Scores' can take 20 minutes to Update - if at all.

Sometimes, on Saturdays - League Tables are not even Updated until SUNDAY.

Shambles of a Sports Service.

I agree with everything said about the BBC, BUT FFS, if you can get on here, why on earth would you be hunting for Teletext.

blackbarn, because i prefer the tv remote to the laptop. I check nearly every sport on teletext as opposed to online.

Indeed, trooper ... When Billies supplied the Service - the Betting Shows were almost instantaneous, and always Up-to-date....

Bit like an early Betfair/Internet Display, in factGrin ..... and probably FASTER than some sites 'Update' nowadays, too.Sad

Then - somebody 'stuck their oar in' - and said that the BBC were, effectively, allowing Billies to advertise via the platform - and that, of course, is not allowed in the BBC Charter.Sad

Apologies for my unwarranted intrusion upon private grief. No offence intended. I am still a fan of steam trains, wagon wheels and walnut whips. Am I forgiven?

blackbarn - Wagon Wheels 'ain't what they used to be' - I gave up on them years ago.

You can see through the (so-called) chocolate that this thinly sprayed on them, nowadays. Cry

Proven now, Onlooker....admitted 1/4inch smaller than they used to be.  Still the original size in Australia for some reason.

BBC doesn't bother with their teletext nowadays what with internet and smartphones to provide content for.

You can make your own teletext, copy and past your info into notepad in text form, then switch your computer

resolution to 640 and try flicking slowly through a few pages maiking sure you miss what you wnat and have to wait

a minute or too to see it again, ah the good old days....

Despite all the far superior info online I miss ceefax/teletext. I've watched the screen waiting for a results hundreds of times, was the first page for results on BBC 670? I'm almost certain it was and 660 was the main racing index. I think C4 was page 340 or 360.
