An interesting novice chase in which useful recruits Zamdy Man and Westren Warrior have the form to go very well but there are doubts about both on account of this trip while the latter would also be ideally served by slower ground.
The chase that Westren Warrior ran it at Kelso clearly doesn't count.

NO FURTHER rain is wanted at Chepstow, with an inspection called at 8am on Thursday for Friday's meeting.
The track is waterlogged in places, and clerk of the course Keith Ottesen said: "We've had 47mm since last Friday. We could do with no further rain, it is due to be clear for part of today, but then more rain is forecast for early on Thursday morning, bringing another ten to 12mm, hence the inspection.
"That rain then clears through but another front with blustery showers is due Thursday night, and then from mid-morning Friday more rain is forecast.
"We could do without any rain but that's very unlikely. If we have a dry day and night then we can take stock."
Officials at Wincanton have not called an inspection for Friday's card but are monitoring the situation, with the going heavy, soft in places and more rain forecast.
All very helpful except that Wincanton's meeting is Thursday not Friday.

ELIDOR just did enough to edge out old rival Wall Of Fire and resume winning ways. His excellent rider was at his best, but being 22lb better off than when beaten 7l on his final outing last year in the Doncaster Cup made the difference. It was his first win out of handicap company and a Cup campaign may be on his agenda now.
How the heck can you confuse the Doncaster Cup with the Mallard handicap?

To be fair most of the jockeys riding for J J O'Neil can have such contrasting attitudes to their rides that it's not difficult to think that it's actually two different riders.

The spotlight for the 6.00 Killarney, Johnny Ward writes that Great Grey ended his stable's "spell in the doldrums" when winning at Tipperary.
Presumably, Ward is confusing Luke W Comer with Luke Comer, because had he bothered to have read his own paper's analysis of the Tipperary race and the quote from the trainer, he would have been aware that Luke W Comer had only taken out a licence in April and Great Grey was only his "6th or 7th" runner.

I don't know what the set up is, or even if they train out of the same yard, but as Luke Comer is still having runners, it presumably isn't a case of Luke W having taken over the licence, so can't be classed as one and the same.

Analysis My Ratings Past Winners Add 19yds. The first pair came right away in this fair little novice handicap.
GETAWAY TRUMP responded gamely when asked for everything after the last and just did enough to master the runner-up. He disappointed back chasing on his seasonal debut at Fontwell 19 days earlier. However, that was his first run since undergoing wind surgery and he'd clearly come on a lot as he travelled smoothly into contention here. The 7yo is smart at best and can make the grade over fences, although perhaps a stiffer test will prove ideal going forward.
Zoffee ran a big race on this introduction to chasing and just failed to see off a rival he was 9lb badly off with on official figures. The versatile 4yo is such an honest galloper and is obviously up to winning races over fences this season. He too may get a little further now.
Trincomalee loves this venue although his novice win here came over further on easier ground, so it wasn't a surprise to see him get tapped for toe on this chasing debut. He's bred to make his mark over fences and should learn a lot.
Golden Taipan, happiest on good ground, jumped well enough on this chasing debut. However, he fell in a hole nearing the penultimate fence and perhaps needed the run having undergone wind surgery during the summer. [David Orton]

Today's Race is published as .... 7f216y - That is just 4 FOUR 'effing Yards SHORT of being - A MILE
Why cannot they BOTH publish the Race DISTANCE as = 1 Mile
What with Rail movements - or, even in Straight only races, Jockeys switching from one side of the track to the other (for a perceived 'Golden Highway') - the 4 YARDS - becomes entirely INCONSEQUENTIAL
Yet the pedantic PRATTS want, and do, still OUTPUT that Yards NONSENSE.
