Not 18 hours ago I posted about my issue regarding getting paid out as a winner when the selection finished 2nd to an unpriced reserve. Initially SkyBet refused to payout as a winner and confusion reigned. However in fairness to SkyBet they have contacted me today to say that they will indeed be paying out as a winner. They deserve good credit for this as it goes to show that they are an honourable firm who will do the right thing where a customer is concerned. It would certainly give me great faith in betting with them in the future and I will certainly revise my stance on their customer service. Fair play SkyBet. Their statement is quoted below,
“Hi there. Firstly, thanks for bringing to attention the problem which you came across. We actually settled your bet correctly within our reserve rules, which stated “finishing positions of any of these reserves will count whether they are priced or not” and were originally based on the industry-standard rules. However, we are now aware that the general policy has changed and we are therefore changing ours to move in line with the rest of the industry. While both rules have their pros & cons, we hope that this will prevent any such confusion in future. We will now settle your bet in accordance with the updated rules.”
Credit goes to SkyBet for a sensible and rightful outcome.
I would urge people not to bet with Sky Bet (I should have known better myself given their track record but this is a bizarre new low for them)

wd m8- i myself have received both a cash refund + vouchers from Ladbrokes for their Camelot fiasco- though i would feel better about them if they were to treat every punter with the same consideration.
sometimes it pays to dig your heels in - but boy- do you have to push for what is right!
