To celebrate the 2012 Grand National, hereβs a forum competition with a prize of Β£250 for the winner.
To enter, all you have to do is reply to this thread with your prediction for ALL of the following questions (please list your answers in 1 to 10 format, using Yes or No where indicated):
1 - Which horse will win?
2 - Which horse will finish 2nd?
3 - Which horse will finish 3rd?
4 - Which horse will finish 4th?
5 β What will be the age of the winning horse?
6 - Will the winning distance be more than 3 lengths? (Yes or No)
7 β Will the Betfair SP of the winner be more than 16.0? (Yes or No)
8 β Will the weight carried by the winner be more than 11 stone? (Yes or No)
9 β Will AP McCoy finish the race? (Yes or No)
10 β Will there be more than 14 finishers? (Yes or No)
Tiebreak β What will the combined total of the racecard numbers of the first four to finish be?
You will score 2 points for each correct answer to questions 1 to 10 (if any of your selected horses in questions 1 to 4 dead-heat for that position, then you will score 1 point).
The winner of the competition will be the person who gets the highest score for questions 1 to 10. If there is a tie, then the entrant nearest to the correct answer for the tiebreak will win. If there is still no outright winner, then the prize will be split.
If any of the horses you select are non-runners/withdrawn: bad luck! We will NOT accept any requests for changes/substitutions.
If there is a dead-heat for any of the first four places, predictions for that place or the next place will be deemed correct (ie if you predict a horse to finish second or third, and it dead-heats for second, you will score a point for your prediction).
You MUST have a funded Betfair account to take part β prizes will only be paid directly into your Betfair account. No other method of payment is available.
Only one entry per person permitted - if you do submit multiple entries, only your first entry will be considered.
This thread will be locked at 4pm on Saturday April 14, so all entries have to be submitted before then.
The winner will be contacted via a Private Message (on the new forum) on Monday, and will be required to reply to confirm their name, e-mail address and their Betfair account details. If the winner does not respond to the PM within 24 hours, the prize may pass to the next nearest entrant. We will endeavour to credit the winner's account within 3 working days of receiving confirmation of their details.
