Ok then Betfair customer services, 90% of these posts are against this idea, so lets see if your listening or is this just a let them think we care thread?
|
By:
Maybe I've misread but where were the posts in favour - surely it's 100%?

We've had some good support from BCM2 over the last year or two even though his hands have been tied but a far quicker result has usually been the outcome of his intervention. I reckon this has nothing to do with him and it's a suggestion from on high. Hope you can do something to reverse this abomination.
'On high' - hope you're listening to the vast outpouring against this terrible idea. |

i think some of you people need to get out more. if you click on 'sports' which is what i bet on, the link to the forum, now called the 'community' -barf- is on the second line down like eighth one along, it's not like it's inaccessable, looks to me like they just moved it a bit? but i could be wrong, no doubt bilbo will shoot me down in flames if i am, ha ha

I found it ok, but would prefer it being where it was........ maybe im lazy

thats the forum pop up - always been there the forum in its own web page allowing classic/beta switch etc is what they are refering too - and thats the tab that has been nicked! you go out too much!! |
By:
sorry Delta, i should have learned by now to keep my mouth zipped, i hope you all get it sorted out, they never can seem to stop messing around with the site though can they? it's always changing :(
|
By:
Half way there now with no pop up.
|

If you really cared what we think, you'd run some user testing BEFORE sticking the bloody thing on the live site.... this is just (another) feeble attempt at trying to convince us you give a damn about what we think. We've told you - via BCM2 - many, many, many times how we feel, but very little is done. Why have you bypassed BCM2 to try and canvas our opinions this way?
We're not that stupid BF, and you lot are far, far, far from the company you once were. |

Agree with above

Of course you could always save a link to the forum in your Favourites menu.

Yes you can,but you have to click on that rather than the easier tab. And on my computer the forum pop-up only shows up if you have an outstanding bet. If you were a newbie you would never know the " community " existed until you had a bet and if you bet at post time you`d never notice.
|
By:
It's looking like people are giving it a guarded thumbs up then....
|
By:
Sadly Betfair are unlikely to look at the 200 negative posts this thread will probably get but will take the 2000 people that have not posted as a positive move !

|

well done betfair......not content with screwing up the site...it seems you are hell bent on getting rid of the forum( whose bright idea was it to change it to community? its a forum for gods sake!!! another fine example of management speak? not? )IF this forum goes my business will be going over to the purple place.....how about a having a vote tick box asking what we want ? but of course you dont listen to your customers? its pretty obvious most of dont to play slots etc and cant understand betfairs obsession with this...but each to there own
|
By:
wasting your breath hibby - i ve surjested loads of stuff - they just dont listen

i quite like the new setup actually betfair customer services. yesterday i was going to go on the forum innit, but i went into the slots instead because that link is where the forum one was and i couldnt find the forum. so i got playing and i got dead lucky innit and now im 5 quid ahead. thats 5 quid i wouldnt have had if you left things the way they were. i now feel i owe you for making profitability from slot games so convenient. please advise me of the best way of donating to your prolific and generous company. many thanks

no point anyone posting ,betfair shouldnt have ask them too, allthough its acts as a good pressure valve,
clearly the team they ve put on it will report if they think it is a bad move. the team will now be monitioring - income from slots etc and - a dip in horses - particulary horses mentioned on the forum. they will also be watching foot fall through the forum for dips, its difficult to assess ,but i presume they have flow monitiors of their on site customers and if the bets per forum visit drops - or forum visit per customer logged on drops - they will weigh that up with extra income from slots and deciede whats best. they clearly wouldnt of just made this move then just enjoyed chelthenham, with no employees assigned to seeing if its a success.they dont have idiots running the show,if bottom line is up then it will stay. a few moaning posters wont change it. |
By:
Moaning posters? There was me thinking it was members giving feedback.
|

The community forum is now CRAPreturn to original forum.
