the fact is there are probably more slot users than those using the forum they moved a link they didn't kill the site, couldn't give a stuff about a link, the forum still exists would rather they ask us about fees, premium charge, skimming bots, % decay on discount or million other things that affect our pockets |

Wouldn't it have been better to ask us BEFORE making the change? You appear to be constantly changing things just for the sake of it. My view is that you probably have a massive I.T. Department which is trying to justify it's existence. Just put things back the way they were, and devote your time to fixing things like the Live Video.

If the community and forum are important to you, Betfair, then please fix the appalling load times for the forum. Reading these pages is like web browsing on a dial-up modem. Surely you can spare some time & money to make the forum less clunky.

why does BF need so many tabs for amusement, card and casino games? I thought sports and not parlour games is what BF is about. Can't the tabs for these be rationalised and reduced in number? And can BF inform us whether the new Community link will reduce the speed of access?

What on earth is happening Betfair. I`ve spent 30 mins trying to open threads on your competitions and can`t, when i finally managed i couldn`t post on two of them, then i could only read the opening poster, refreshed then could only read the last post. I can`t continue p1ss1ng about like this.

Think the mince was playing with his iron Facts Has a point maybe - you don't play the AW Facts if i recall. On the contrary - I find selective betting in AW handicaps quite lucrative.But however anyone can compare betting on FOBTs a better betting medium( than anything else where some skill/judgement/intelligence)is beyond me. |

Ok - this is a dreadful move.
On the navigational tab now we have 6 tabs (Casino,Live Casino (difference?),Poker,Exchange Games,Arcade, and now Super Slots) devoted to none other than the equivalent of FOBT's in betting shops. 4 tabs (Sports,In-play,Football and Horse-racing) for what this site is meant to be about - sports betting - one of those tabs is irrelevant and one is almost a duplication. This is weighted completely the wrong way and to include a new FOBT tab just before the Cheltenham Festival shows a complete lack of understanding about what we , Betfair's customers, want. To include this tab at the expense of the Forum (community ) tab shows almost a breathtaking arrogance and displays to us what Betfair thinks of it's forum users. Dispensable is the word I think. This is obviously a move to downgrade the forum and then probably dispense with it altogether. We must fight this move. the mover and Mr Magoo made some good points higher up where they highlihgted that a pop-up is apparently all we need (according to Betfair) and the forum speed is desperate - consistently spend ages waiting for it to come up .Also as gbtp said perhaps get the things you do currently right (especially Live video) before adding stuff to the site. I would argue the the forum (community) is an extremely important feature of this site. It's one of the quickest ways to access information about anything - plus we always seem to be ahead of Betfair when things go wrong. If we didn't have the forum how long would we have to wait for the Live video to be fixed when it goes down on a daily basis? On top of that there is an eclectic mix of people on here and if you have a problem of ANY kind there is always somebody here to help and give advice. Invaluable. |

the only problem with this change is that new people that come to betfair will think the pop-up version of the forum is the only option they have and if it was me it would annoy the hell out of me, what it ends up producing is a less attractive experience of using the forum
removing the tab and putting it in small fonts below reduces the importance the community has for betfair this must be one of the few businesses in the world where long term loyalty in years and hours spent in it get less rewarded and less acknowledgement by those that run it to go back to the normal forum just do this: remove the part in bold http://community.betfair.com/go/forum/popupExtra?output_method=iframe hit Enter and bookmark it |
