Hi - been a member since sep 2008 - he tells you a points system and you bet to that system(price is irrelevant) so if he tells you to put on 3pts on a 25/1 shot and you are betting to £40/point then you put on £120 and if he tells you 2pts on a 4/1 shot then put on £80.
after saturday's horses i am 229pts up - i have kept records since i started.
on saturday he gave 4 horses -  2 seconds and a 3rd and a nowhere.
prices are obtainable if you have a lot of different accounts.
yes he is worth joining

p.s. i am not Henry Rix i am more like Tom Segal(pricewise only) as have been following him for 9yrs+ and am up over £24,000 - so i will continue to follow my only 2 tipsters and hopefully continue to show a profit - granted it is harder getting the money on
Good Luck to all anyway

You can never get the prices he shows- always a least a point lower. Long priced horses with long losing runs and occassional winners. Difficult to get the inflated prices he claims and hence the winnings he posts are based on something that cant be obtained. Does okay over long periods but you have to accept long long losing runs.

I am able to get the prices on about over 85% of the time - probably able to get the prices because although not a professional gambler i like to think that i gamble professional.
I am always ready to grab the prices as i know within 3/4mins of notification the prices are starting to go so you have to use that window to get the money on. The times i dont get the prices are usually when there is 4 tips at the one time.

he is a very good tipster, but with what you have to pay for the tips and you will certainly struggle to get the odds he claims you will not make as much money(if any) as the ads claim and thats before bookmakers start to limit or close your accounts

any decent tipster will proof and advertise to SP not "best odds" that way you can judge their performance more sensibly...
By:
duncan idaho
When: 08 Aug 11 10:48
that's nonsense, willy....it is not possible to make a profit at SP if the odds on your selections routinely get slashed the moment you put them up. Could you make a profit if the bookies knocked 30% off the odds every time you went to the counter?
By:
worcesterwilly
When: 08 Aug 11 10:57
with respect duncan I administer a tipping service where we have had 7 independent tipsters over a 10 month period since launch ALL tips proofed, all returns quoted to sp and overall in Net Profit e.g profit calculated after stakes deducted - majority to a £10 level stake some up to a max of £50 stake win and each way.

10 consecutive winning months overall all to sp all proofed - so it can be done to sp and we are by no means the only ones consistently in profit to sp.

If we quoted "best odds" or supposed "best odds" the figures would be 3 or 4 times what they are - all are quoted to SP so that they can be cross reference back.

Gazo - my interpretation of the new ASA - Advertising Authority Guidelines that apply to all tipping services is that they have not only to proof results to at least 2 agencies plus an accredited Accountant and Legal Firm but also have to be able to prove without doubt that they were able to get the price quoted.

Now., lets be clear Henry Rix is an excellent tipster with an excellent reputation but personally I believe proofing and quoting to SP is not only the most ethical way to do it but also a great time saving in terms of paperwork and record keeping - as SP is SP no doubt or ambiguity.

When: 08 Aug 11 11:41
what type of proof do you need to show that you are able to get the price quoted?,i am not too sure how rix's gives his bets out but i imagine the price is gone very quick when he does.i would be very surprised if any mainstream tipster can show much of a profit to sp because of how many people want to back it the bookies just knock the price down without taking much money.
By:

Gazo

Many will proof and then claim as an example Betfair odds obtained legitimately by them via print outs etc - or odds obtained at bookies by similar means - as you infer though how widely available are those odds to Joe Public.

It is entirely possible to make profit to SP albeit less profit....although as many horses drift in price as contract and every day of the week there are drifters that win!

When: 08 Aug 11 12:06
Hi - he tipped a winner at 4/1 but the sp was 5/1 and he showed it at as a winner at the 4/1 when every other tipster would claim it as a 5/1 winner. Luckily i was on at BOG.
Good Luck to all whoever you follow

When: 08 Aug 11 13:54
with respect willy, the tipping lines you administer cant be moving the market in the way Henry Rix does. If SP were the most sensible way to judge, as you suggest, Hugh Taylor would come out as a losing tipster when he is quite clearly one of if not the best around. I'm very surprised someone in your position cant see this.
By:
worcesterwilly
When: 08 Aug 11 15:23
Duncan - we dont set out to "move the markets" and none of the people who subscribe have ever challenged us to do so....Henry and Hugh are both much higher profile and to be honest good luck to em....I am not trying to sell or tout anything just making the point that you can make a profit to sp and as one of henrys punters pointed out he actually claims profits to figures below sp if thats what he gives and then they drift which is excellent..

As for HT how well would he do if he didnt have a paid job to market his tips by.....I dont know??..

whatever you do NEVER subscribe to tipsters, if they are any good they quickly become a victim of their success in that you cannot get on, but of course the tipster can continue to claim to be successful, nice little con really
