Billy Get Carter Imo is a horse that is definitely worth keeping on side, the sluggish pace of the race would not have suited him... first 3 home were always in first 4 throughout, then Luke Morris proceeded to take him up the far side(slowest part of the track today), a true run 6F may be what he needs. And Sand Skier just simply bumped into a nicely handicapped one, simple as that!... Plenty of time to pull in the deficit, which I'm certain you will. GL

Not many winners amongst this bunch but CATAWOLLOW has dropped to the same mark as when winning a mares´ handicap at Leicester in November, ideally would of liked a bit better ground but this won't take much winning.
MILANO MAGIC has only ran four times under rules and is a winner over this distance in points. This son of MILAN comes into this after a decent run last time when 3rd to the fancied Willie Mullins horse and has a lightweight to carry in a race that has been dominated by those near the bottom of the handicap..

I got a phone call out of the blue yesterday with tips for the first two, I never put tips on here because overall tips usually don't win enough to make a profit. Anyway, the tips were from the horses mouth as they say so I gave it a go.
I then got another phone call from someone else for the maiden race at 8/1, just after the horse began to be backed and ended up 11/4 2f.
The first tip finished down the field but the jockey on the first horse then went on to win the un-related tip on the maiden horse at 14/1.

FIVEWAYS named after the famous roundabout and pub in Childwall is a very lightly raced 9yr old with only seven runs to his name winning two of those on GF and Good ground over 16 and then 17f. Handicap debut on ground too soft and distance of 3m too far was not to his liking but this 2m5f on better ground could see him in a different light off bottom weight..

Well it's here, it's finally arrived. Hang out the flags.. The meeting channel four's Morning line has been counting down to since Oiseau De Nuit crossed the winning line at about 5-19pm in the lucky last @ 40/1 at last years meeting.
There has been lots of talk of watered down races since the four days were introduced but the sight of the old favouites coming back year after year in the top races sets the heart a-fluttering in a way that the flat counterparts can only dream of.
The Greats of Kauto Star and Big Bucks (But not just yet) might be nearing the end of their days but the new stars are waiting in the wings to take their place in The Greatest Show On Earth.
1-30 The opener's past winners reads like a who's who of National Hunt past Stars with only Captain Cee Bee and Like a Butterfly bucking the trend of 5yr old and 6yr old winners. Prospect Wells this year @ 16/1 and 7yrs old is the only runner this year who doesn't fall into that category and while not totally out of it just doesn't seem to have the profile of today's winner.
There have been two shocks in the past ten years but overall it pays to stick to the more fancied runners who are well treated by RPR and OR.
The ground could be the key and with most of these having winning form on Soft to Heavy they could improve but I'm sticking with two with proven form on the better ground.
RPR and TS top rated GALILEO'S CHOICE who won a 32k Grade 3 on the flat and will be well suited by today's decent ground and STEPS TO FREEDOM who won a Grade 2 at Aintree beating MONTBAZON and who has been kept fresh since winning here at Cheltenham in November when beating another of today's rivals PROSPECT WELLS.

I can't miss the possible dream treble of HURRICANE FLY, SPRINTER SACRE and QUEVEGA. The type of bet we all say we should of done after the event and with Henderson and Gerraghty talking about SRINTER being like the next PEGASUS and QUEVEGA so far ahead of his rivals it just needs THE FLY to see off BINOCULAR and CO to seal a treble punters will talk about for years to come.

RPR top rated who was a runner up over hurdles in December but better as a staying chaser and fairly treated on best form, a 7lb drop since last run at Cheltenham last time when pulled up seeing him 5lb beneath last winning mark in October 2010, has won round here on fast ground and decent chance if getting the extra yardage..

The lightly raced JAMAICAN BOLT with only four runs to his name has been gelded since leaving Bryan Smart and makes his debut for the Oldroyd stable and is 5lbs better off including jockeys claim dropping in class after 320 days off. Tonight's Soft going and time off looks in his favour with previous Soft ground near miss on first run last November and then a comfortable win five months later at 2/11 looking like plenty more improvement is sure to come..

The outside stall at Lingfield is regarded by many as a poor draw and even today's Racing Post gives negative comments about the chances of those drawn in the so-called car park.
Closer inspection over the years tells a very different story and in fact the outside draw has a very good record and at one point a little while back those drawn in the outside box had won twice as many races as any other singe stall.
Today's fancied horses are drawn in 11-13-10 and 9 with my fancy in 13, DOCTOR HILARY looks fancied but at the age of 10 could just find a few younger legs against him with this race over the years usually won by an up and coming youngster.
CD winner SILLY BILLY was just beaten by a whisker off this mark for a 5lb claimer in November and won off 76 in his CD claimer, the switch back to Ian Mongan could just do the trick.

Mr Knightley who makes his debut for the Roger Ingram stable has won his last two races at Kempton very easily in a class 6 handicap and claimer but a combination of a step up in grade and a hike of 11lbs could scupper his chances of the hat-trick.
Top weight Caldercruix showed improvement dropped into this grade last week and is back down to a winning mark but might be better over a furlong less.
Distance winner AZRAEL who was a good second for Nora Looby (7) 11 days ago in cheekpieces looks well up to winning this with Seb Sanders taking over.
Hasn't won since two on the bounce in Sept 10 in a class 3 off 83 and time must be close now down to 72 with a nice draw in stall 4 for a prominent runner with cheekpieces retained..

Aubrietia will be alot of peoples idea of the winner after her easy 5l winner 6 days ago but that was in an apprentice class 5 race with Willie Twiston-Davies knocking off 5lbs, up 6lbs today and tackles class 4 for the first time with Luke Morris returning.
My idea of a decent bet against the favourite are DORBACK and ALASKAN BULLET. DOORBACK was only beaten a nk by the inform and half-decent Woolfall Sovereign on the 1st January in a better race and returns to that CD with a good draw.
ALASKAN BULLET has only raced 9 times winning twice and is usually held up so a wide draw today won't be such an inconvenience, also had a good run in a class 3 over CD and looks well fancied to give the favourite a shock..
