Time for a new thread, as the last one got a bit messy! Any views on a bet put up, feel free to have an opinion (within reason). This is not about taking sides but a new thread is needed I think we can all agree on that!! So arguments to a bare minimum please, although the odd disagreement is bound to appear (NAP) Can we not let it go overboard
If you want to put up bets put them up, if you want to have a pop don't bother reading (NB)
Dermot weld did an interview about a min before the start with rte, saying that she had a really long season without a break and u couldn't be sure she wud run her race(his tone was very downbeat.Brian gleeson(rte betting pundit)comes on after race and says thats why u hav to watch rte saving punters money etc it was about a minute b4 the race (the int)not all punters cud bale out at that stage and she was drifting afer int. imo she shudn't hav ran - amazed weld risked over her hurdles yest

21st April.. Unaccompanied is pleasing connections ahead of a tilt at the 80,000 euros Grade 1 AES Champion 4YO Hurdle over two miles at Punchestown on Saturday, May 7.
Moyglare Stud Manager Stan Cosgrove revealed today: “Unaccompanied will be going to Punchestown, providing the ground is right - if the ground is on top she will not be running.
“She is in great order but wants give in the ground - she could have done with it being softer in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham.
“The filly was great at the Curragh last time and won easily. Yesterday, I didn’t see it myself, but she schooled and apparently jumped like a stag - at the end she gave a buck and a kick, so she’s happy and in good form.”

Really fancy one tonight..8.15 Downpatrick..MISTER PHILSON
Won its last 2 P2Ps easily enough... (last time beating Aces Or Better easily)...& definately needs a test, ran 3rd to THE SNUFFLER over 22f, (Hunter chase) a trip far too short but was staying on really well, coming from a mile back, finishing well in front of one of todays rivals NORWICH FLYER. Best when ridden from the front as seen in its last 2 wins (same jockey today) & will be hard to peg back around this tight track.
NORWICH FLYER seems to need cut & went out like a light last time on quick ground.
LORD MULTIFIX is probably on a par with MISTER PHILSON having also finished behind THE SNUFFLER (a different race). The time before it also beat ACES OR BETTER 2L (P2P)...but I think the way the race will be run..(hopefully MISTER PHILSON leads)..then it will be hard for LORD MULTIFIX to get on terms.
11/4 with PP...looks a decent bet!

A day off today so had a bit of time to study....been a while since I had a bet
Anyway one for today 5.20 LISTOWEL....JAMSIE HALL
A horse thats improving no end & has easily the best form in this field, 3m on good ground looks Ideal & more to the point is a decent jumper. something that cant be said about some of the P2P/Hunters. Won well last time but might have been a different story had the third horse not come down. Been running in hurdle races in 09 without much sucess, but looks to have found a new lease of life this year running in P2Ps (missed 2010) Highest rated horse here, but still getting 7LB from the favourite ANNACARTON (riders claim) will be hard to beat imo with the same jock as last time.
ANNACARTON has been winning ordinary P2Ps well & seems to need decent ground, has already won a hunter & had just hit the front when coming down (6 out)...too far out to say it would have won. Obviously a decent horse but just cant see it giving the weight away to JAMSIE HALL.
CHRISDONLADY is bound to lead & nearly landed a gamble last time going well clear, but was surprising easily picked up by the winner, did not recieve any help from the saddle imo from the same jock that always rides it, she rides today!!
THE BALER won over 2.5m last time against a horse that is a 3 miler, so doenst look like the form amounts to much, & back up to 3m here against inform horses & likely to struggle.
If JAMSIE HALL runs up to its form of its last run (doesnt need to improve) it will take all the beating here, Trading around 3/1

Unlucky today, had the fav well beat just couldn't quite catch the front runner. Looked as though it was dropping back quite fast then seemed to find that litte bit more.

ive been around haha This thread got a bit out of hand when Jenny started the tipping service. It got to a stage where people didnt want to put up tips because they seen how much stick Jen took. Didnt enjoy it anymore but I thought Id dish out the 2 I posted on Ayr Gold Cup day because I had a word for both but every horse has a bad day

Absolutely hate the place, but cannot let this go.
12.20 SEDGEFIELD
KEALIGOLANE
A very impressive winner on its last run at Muss...its 1st run here since coming over from Ireland It has also changed owner/stable this month...but Lucy Alexander keeps the ride. In Ireland on its last 2 runs before it came here, it was held out the back & pulled for 3/4 of the race...on both occasions it was given a tender ride.,,,,there were some very decent horses in both those races.
1st run here at Muss..it led & traveled like a dream, winning easily without being really asked by 17L... Carries a 7lb penalty here, but it is negated by Lucy Alexander who takes the 7lb off, so in effect races off levels with the rest. Front runners have an advantage at sedgefield...its not a hold up track....very rare for a horse to come from behind here.
THE WEATHERMAN will be fav imo....a D McCain horse that took a crashing fall last time (1st time over hurdles)...was beat at the time..but would have finished 2nd to Peckhamecho albeit a fair way behind.......on the face of it that looks cracking form.. .but Peckhamecho was rated 119 when it beat.. The Weatherman racing off levels......KEALIGOLANE, rated 118....racing off levels with the riders claim....if the rating are right , then The Weatherman is going to struggle here.
VINTAGE STAR, is the other one that carries a penalty....I really think this need farther, even though it was beaten over 20f last time...dont think dropping back in trip here wll suit.
DOME RUN...a bumper winner...ran a stinker last time but could have needed the race....1st run over hurdles here, but cant see it being good enough.
KEALIGOLANE off a mark of 118 & effectively racing off levels has to take the beating here..... Most likely be a decent price with McCain having one in.........& the fact Lucy Alexander rides..but if she rides it from the front as last time it will take some pegging back.
Just my take on it.

Get on all 4 English teams to qualify from the Champs leagues group stages at 6/4 lads or 11/8 slybet, plenty of value there as should be odds on imo (as priced up by some of the others). May need 10 accounts to get a decent bet on though!

A sad loss when you see who else is around in this world who live a long and healthy life. RIP sevs.
