Has found it too difficult mixing writing for the Post/Weekender and betting so he's going to concentrate on the latter.

Final Weekender column today, and the Post on Friday.

Maybe Matt is gonna go out with a bang and tell us about Imi & Atr Extra. I cannot belive that eclipse wasn't on our side over this. I just think that he was silenced and threatened with the sack if he didn't shut up. Now that he has bin sacked anyway he can tell us the whole story[;)]

To those of you who bothered to write some kinds words, thanks very much, I appreciate it. To the likes of Cardifffc, you will be sad to learn I left the Racing Post on my own terms and with plenty of goodwill. I hope the paper thrives in the future, because there are plenty of good people there.
As for the ATR delay, I tried my best for about week but it was basically a non-story, anyway, if what I was told was correct.
Take it easy boys, and to the good guys on here, bets of luck for the future.

Matt

Sorry to hear that. Despite buying two copies of the Weekender every week, I never read Matt's column, but as with the British Museum and the Royal Opera House, it was nice to know it was there. Best wishes for the future.

One word sums you up in all this mate, [>o]coward, absolutely 100% yellow. Even as you walk out the door you aint got the gnoads to tell us what happenedConfused

Obviously, Guido, I would prefer it if people didn't think of me as a coward and yellow, but you can't everyone, I suppose.

Eclipse is Matt Williams,Ybor City is Pete Harris. And so that brings us to the anonymous hardman known as Guido. Who are you ?

all RP readers wanted was an explanation from ATR why the picture delays returned, the fact they said nothing makes it look suspicious, why didnt the RP say its a non-story with reasons?, its a big deal to many punters/readers
By:

When: 16 Jun 10 12:16

Rider, I did more or less say it was a non-story at the time. If I genuinely thought there was something iffy, I would say and I certainly wouldn't be bullied into keeping my mouth shut about anything I believed in.

very well thanks. Can't get a letter in the Post. A personal ban from Bruce I assume.I appreciate the honest writers. I think I can spot the others !
Every winner bar one at N.A. trained in Wales last night. There's a story but my "superiors "can't see it.
Your piece about the golf struck a chord. Backed one at Hex last Sat called Hair Of The Dog at 46. It  went 2 clear between the last 2 hurdles and traded at 2.6.
I remained on the sofa. That does call for a wac !
