I have looked at the forecast and it's going to be a scorcher: Unbroken sunshine and 32 degrees. Big Rock won't get the ground he seems to need. Charyn looks better than ever this year: His second in the Lockinge looked particularly good because he was the only one who seemed to make any realistic effort to close down Audience. By contrast, Inspiral checked out tamely. Royal Ascot just confirmed this with Charyn getting a deserved win and Inspiral struggling to go the pace in a race where the 2nd and 3rd came from nearly as far back as Inspiral. Royal Ascot seemed even worse for Inspiral and she looks a difficult ride for anyone other than Dettori. I think R. Moore will have his work cut out to get her back to her best. There is always a chance that Quddwah could be good enough to fill a place, but I think I don't think he will finish in front of Charyn, who will be my choice. As usual I will probably play safe and just try to lay Inspiral at around 3.0 or maybe 3.2, but a match bet of Charyn to finish infront of Inspiral would be my preferred bet if available on here.
charyn looks to have improved but is very short imo could win but must be better value out there ,inspiral is even worse value won the last 2 runnings but undeniably disappointing this term I couldn't back her at the odds ,quiddwah is stepping up in class but comes into the could be anything category but as said its a big jump in class ,haatem consistent honest sort who usually runs his race but may just come up short here .big rock 7 pound clear on ratings but 20 odd lengths behind charyn at ascot last time . metropolitan could be the value call just the 5 runs and 2 from 2 as a juvenile needed seasonal debut then won the French guineas . improved on that with a good 3rd behind rosalion in the st James palace 14s looked big earlier and around 10s now seems to be getting better and could go close . another more speculative one at a big price is mahaba ya sanaafi also a French guineas winner last season has been running in mainly small field stop start affairs obviously has ability and could be suited by the likely strong pace tomorrow barca up he looks a big price imo. selections metropolitan and marahaba ya sanaafi around 10s and 33s good luck .

Timeform have no less than 16 older horses rated higher than Charyn. I have his Queen Anne win the fastest performance by an older horse this season. Also, marginally the fastest by an older miler for more than 10 years. I'm backing him to back that up.

Charyn won well, and even looked impressive today. But, this renewal was a very weak affair. I think had Notable Speech and/or Rosallion turned up Charyn would be placed at best.
