Henry Longfellow is the shortie at 6/4 (365), and I think he's a good thing. He's rated 2nd best to City Of Troy and infront of Rosallion (2nd in English 2000G). The ground at Longchamp is soft, and it will suit him.
But, 1st time running abroad the only unknown for me.
I still say as a 2yo he was better than City Of Troy and should have been the one they ran in the Guineas. Although as things turned out I reckon he still would've been beaten by Notable Speech and finished alongside Rosallion. That form would be good enough to have taken the vast majority of French Guineas over the years and it's hard to see any of the opposition improving that much. So today is all about whether Henry Longfellow remains the same horse he was last year rather than if he can be beaten on form. If he is he wins easily, if not he could just as easily finish last. He's a short price but I'm backing him.

But, comments like "he's ready to start...he'll come on for the race" do not feel me with confidence backing him. Nevertheless, he's the best horse, and the price of 6/4 is the carrot.
As such, a small venture only for the future.

I have laid Romantic Style at 4.2 in the 1000 GNS because imo she is too short in a very competitive race. She got the run of the race last time when she beat Ramateulle who couldn't quicken on the heavy going. Drawn (14) won't help either.

.Marksman, I'd be against her too as I don't think that latest win was an improvement on her Listed win at 2. For me, Vespertilio has the best form but I won't be backing her unseen as a 3yo.

That was a truly bad ride by Moore. He did everything wrong; face with a dead-end he waited, and waited, and waited. Then he accepted the situation, and gave up.
Good job it came out of the profit and loss account. Imagine Henry Longfellow was your only gem and your jockey never gave it a chance of running into place money let alone winning.
