Over the last 12 months I have laid many horses in the Ante Post Cheltenham markets. Inevitably some are now non_runners and these were indicated with a 1 where their odds where in "Matched Bets" window. The totals where all added up to make a "Total Stake" value. However, now non_runners have now been removed from the lists and my Totals have been reduced to such an extent that it will be impossible to win at the meeting as I have got so much red in my books. An example of a horse who has been removed is Bob Olinger in the Champion Hurdle. I didn't realize that this was going to be non_runner/no bet all the way since last March. Just wondering whether this has happened to anyone else recently?
This is what Betfair's rules say which indicates that all these non-runners should count as bets: All bets stand run or not unless void under the Horseracing Rules and Regs or under the Betfair Terms and Conditions.

Thoughrt profits on some of my ante post bets had shrunk a fair bit .Never realised that was the case .Exchange is all in run or not . If they are taking the profit away today for non runners then it should show in you P & L for today but it doesnt.

But they where included in the screen P & L earlier this morning nad have been removed some time during the day. Not aware of this happening before and it gives a false reading to users ante post books.

as far as I can see, Betfair have today settled the antepost non runners as losers but they have not yet appeared in the exchange p/l - once they do, the 'include settled bets' should kick in and the display corrected. Fingers crossed it is only a display issue

penzance, bloggsville I imagine that Betfair will do that. It would be similar to what they do on tennis tournaments but, as geoff has said, earlier this morning we could see a current P&L on the screen. This change now makes it harder to keep track of where we are because some bets would have been matched more than 3 months ago, so don't show up in "MATCHED BETS" in my account.

Marksman - it's Betfair's new way to screw up AP markets. Strangely, it hasn't affected my balance today but they did reduce me to a large negative balance on Thursday morning before putting it back. The API figures are correct, if you have a way to see your races through the API.
All this has been happening on and off for years. It started when they began taking non-runners off the list, I think - before that they would be left there till the supplementary day was passed.

Pete, the first thing I noticed today is that my balance has gone back up to where it was. But it is annoying that I can't see the correct total liabilities in each market.

As for the dates of entry stages and supps, I wish someone would tell me. It is easier to find out about these for French racing from France-Galop website than it is in this country.

Racing Post: Betfair moved on Tuesday night to reassure punters there would be no repeat of a technical problem that reduced the balances of some customers on Friday and in some cases left punters puzzling over a negative balance. The issue appears to stem from ante-post bets on certain Cheltenham Festival races placed through the company's exchange on horses that have since been withdrawn.
When those horses were deleted from the relevant markets on Friday evening it appears that stakes relating to them were deducted from customer balances for a second time, having also been deducted at the time the bets were placed. That at least is the conclusion drawn by some of the affected punters who described their experience to the Racing Post.
A typical experience was described by one, who estimated he had around €25 left in his account on Friday and found the next morning that it was showing -€119.54. Another said his balance had changed three times since Saturday morning without any action on his part, which he ascribed to efforts by Betfair to restore him to his forme

A Betfair spokesman insisted that the cause had been "identified and fixed" and there should be no repeat when further horses are deleted from markets in the coming days. "We have identified that the issue was triggered by a small number of markets after a technical change," he said.
"As we now have the root cause, we are working through it and expect to have the small number of affected accounts corrected by the end of today [Tuesday]. Again, no-one will be out of pocket and all accounts will reflect their exact position."
Dont know about yous but im still waiting.

My balance may or may not be correct now. Some money was returned to it. But without seeing how much I have taken in total lay bets I cannot tell whether it is correct. I really need to see where I actually stand on each race, now, not after it has been run.

Horace, I was able to recover my old lay bets by going to My Account>My Bets>Matched>Options>Date Range (Period required)>Download. When the spreadsheet came up, I used the Excel Sort facility to identify the bets on scratched horses (those with odds of 1). It didn't take long. I have saved the spreadsheet in case there is any dispute in future

I think your account will be credited according after the event has taken place in case a late supplementation as had happened in the past eg Derby. Nevertheless, it's annoying as no trading is allowed prior to event.

It's doing it again. But this time it is switching between the correct and incorrect potential profit/loss every 6 seconds. This happens on both Firefox and Chrome (OS: ubuntu 20.04).
