Not quite troubling the judge at the moment,always find Aintree a hard meeting to overly confident.

Interesting horse GI.....Not seen the best of him yet.

Not sure we can trust that guesser on board in the opener,that race looks wide open too.

Normally have a couple in mind for the GN,this year I,m struggling big time,back to the drawing board

Morning, he needs a flattish course for me to show his best (not a chelt horse), has decent enough ground today so no excuses if he gets the trip which I think he will round here. Other than Notebooks race and the Marsh, its a tough card today, can see some biggish prices around.

What do we make of that long distance handicap later ?

Topham just under 10 secs above standard,despite them trying to make out the GN ground is slower.

Lord knows how much Agua will have been unleashed overnight.

Slightly better than day 1 on here yesterday,although tbf that was not too difficult to beat.

GI with a 66/1 poke  (120 bfsp) ..... and the 22/1 winner of the opener,outstanding form at the moment.

Some intriguing run styles/placement when you start looking at these national runners.

That opener is real tough, my shortlist is at 7 currently, finding it hard to rule out some.

Jumps form looks reasonable,his flat form different class,can the 7lb travel tax stop him ?

Horrendous day for the English Handicapping System would be my take on that result.

Cheltenham was the warning sign,yesterday confirmed that,do we have a problem?

Royal Pagaille and Cloth Cap just two examples of horses massively over-rated on minimal evidence.

That will not fix graded level performances,I see that as a whole different issue.

Suddenly all of our horses are trained by Steptoe And Son.

Ireland now has the best NH trainers in the world bar none ..... absolute Bo**ox.

Not taking away from HDB,quite brilliant few weeks for him and his team,well deserved.

Maybe Noc although not all my stuff is class 3, I’m just doing the work at the moment, so eradicating all the junk from the past, is quite a long process
