No sparrow The result appears to Stand , as soon as the Racing office seen the Time surely they realise there has been an Error and check the Dogs ID

WTF is actually going on in this Sport ?

I would pretty much guarantee that something is untoward here and maybe even worse.

I saw something similar many years ago at Hackney when a 4 year old suddenly found a whole lot of time to win half the track at a big price. The dog was up for sale a few weeks later. If they can't trace any money for the dog then they will find a way out of this somehow or other.

You could even argue what the dog was doing in a graded race priced at 36.7 BFSP?  SP knockout job who knows?

Yes  ,  Mistakes happen but there are 3 fails I can see , Unreal that the result was not voided tbh  ,Who knows mate

Too much racing to handle must be one reason if it was a genuine mistake but otherwise I dread to think what has gone on there. They need to hurry up and get on with finding out what has happened.

Plenty said about the matter this moring on RPGTV,  but as one said "it's the next day and still nothing has been said".  I suppose Swindon think that if they ignore the issue it will eventually go away.

If any other dog found so much there would automatically be a local enquiry, which would probably be kicked up to the GBGB. Can't believe they didn't have a local straight away.

A sensible post from the " greyhound scene " .....

For what it's worth, the way I see it is that almost certainly a mistake has been made and the wrong dog ran. There was no betting coup so in all likelihood it was simply a mistake. These things happen and the main thing is to learn from them and try to ensure that such a thing doesn't happen again (although whatever systems and safeguards you put in place you can never completely rule out human error).

Swindon needs to hold its hands up though and admit that a mistake was made and void the race. No sackings or witch hunts - just honesty and common sense. To pretend that nothing was wrong is ridiculous. If they insist that the correct dog ran then why have they not held a Steward's about time finding? They can't have it both ways

As has more or less been already said on here and  that the track mainly at fault for failing to inform people.

GBGB are looking at it now; the Post say they're looking at the microchip data and records. Expect a local enquiry that results in a small fine and a telling off for the track.

Thank you wonders and good work.  As we thought though no explanation from anyone just brushed under the table. Just shows the state of the industry now when punters have to investigate themselves instead of the people being paid to inform us.

Any punter involving themselves with any of the five other dogs had no chance and may as well have tipped their money down the nearest drain.

Indeed, wonders. Perhaps bookmakers might like to refund losing punters who thought they were betting on an A9 race.

As a long time lurker on here who occasionally attends Swindon I have followed this with some interest. Being around a 4KG weight difference between them it seemed they must have both gone to the track and the correct dog weighed. Checking the advance cards Strideaway Honey was down to run in a 2 dog trial that day but the result shows only the other runner. This at least explains why she was at the track.
