Monmore serves up a mouth-watering card - Sat 12th Aug(eve) - Three Shrewd Bankers 'From The Bunker'

I'll try to keep this brief. However, this evening's Monmore card promises to dish up a feast of brilliant action; and I'm happy to nail my colours to the mast to the following three bankers early doors:


6.48pm - Trap 6 (CHURCHFIELD SYD)

First ran over track and trip three outings ago in a solo trial when hinting real ability. Has ran twice since then; penultimate start in a two dog trial (TFSec 4.24 / TFTime 28.18) and more recently running away in an open race (Proxy of 120) where it lead all the way once more, clocking an ever more impressive split and adjusted time (TFSec 4.21 / TFTime 28.02). Based on the aforementioned sectionals, Churchfield Syd could quite easily turn this race into a procession from an early stage; quite evidently different class to today's opposition. TimeForm Betting Forecast: 6/4? Yes please!


7.44pm - Trap 3 (DROOPYS CLUE)

Has arguably been running in hotter races than what it's been thrown into today, with it's last two runs at Towcester having a proxy of 118 and 126, respectively. However, the solo trial it ran last time out on the 5th of August over a track and trip commands some serious respect. A TFSec of 12.45 can see the 3 dog lead early doors (trap 5 the only potential rival in this respect) but it would be folly to ignore that eye-popping 37.39 (TFTime) that Droopys Clue posted last time out. A similar effort to this would blow all opposition out of the water and, if the TimeForm betting forecast is correct with odds of 13/8, you would leave this selection out at your own peril.


9.32pm - Trap 1 (HAVANA TOP NOTE)

The times Havana Top Note clocked last time out (when Touched off by a short head over track and trip) speak for themselves. A dominant TFSec of 12.47 will see this pup get an early lead once more; it is also the only runner in the field to clock a TFTime of sub 38.00 (over track and trip & within last five runs) when it posted a TFTime of 37.65 lto! Why not end the day on a high by banking on Havana Top Note to go one better than last time out; forecast odds of 5/4 may appear skinny to some, but the sectionals say otherwise. Lump on!
