Any thoughts?

Ballymac Inspeed already touted elsewhere but cant see it myself

It's obviously a strange one but looking at reigning champion Lenson Bocko again

You cant say what's going on with these dogs but enigmatic Wolfe can produce a run and if fit, would be looking at 50/1 with possible boost, Lenson Austin

Terrible that no thread started till now. I did look. Laugh usually pro active on ante post front. Full up english derby ante post. Had my first n only bet saturday. Had 3 or 4 on radar. Went quickest in produce first round. Has 28.00 ish cork 28.11 h.q. now a 28.22 clonmel. Shows he has bit o class bout him. A lot of grahams av taken step forward sinse lockdown. Form for produce maybe bit suspect. 4 dogs in this dogs heat 28.50 or under. We shall soon c. After his run i could c he was 50/1. If u rung a high street bookmaker n u told him he did 28.22 clonmel u probably got offered 25/1. Not a huge bet. More of an interest. Dogs name rathcoole fox. B4 i logged in i saw our mancunian friend put up lenson austen. You couldn,t be more out of touch putting up that selection. He is in jannsens yard. He is not good enough to be entered in my opinion. He is currently 5,000/1 and drifting. Barely going round at the moment if u cared to look.

Fkin didnt print all my message. The dog in question is rockburst mike. Good luck to him n gerry griffen the trainer. He,s a bit of a rascal. We knew that wen we bought him. Bought for the craic. Hopefully might get couple of easier draws n we can enjoy the ride.

Well I’ve bought seven pups mostly at around 11 months of age three of them in dual ownership, they are now 16 to 20 months of age are named and marked up two are for Nottingham width Annalise Thomson they are JUPITER and SATURN  STORM, and two pups I have ar 16 months at Monmore they will start trialing at 18 months of Age they are out of the dam of ICE ON FIRE and certainly look the part ,well on photos any way as I have never actually seen them,my illness MND makes travel difficult also this nasty virus makes travel difficult it’s about 259 mile round trip,I own these outright they are named METEORIC RISE and a bitch named SCORCHED EARTH,watch out for MeteorIm told the trainer holds him in very high reguarding,I also own 20% of a 16 month pup called ELDERBERRY ITOJE,he cost a fair bit and we are hopeful of A1 class minimum. Now this is a Irish Derby page well I also bought a half share stake in a unraced pup ,now raced 5 times he is entered in the race and did a pleasing solo at Shelbourne last night he’s 100/1 the remaining 500% of him is syndicated by TOWSTAR he will have a very eager band of followers, who think he is the second coming which of course he is not any way we have paid the 300 euros so we will find out if the powers that be accepted him his name is TOWSTAR PADDY so here’s to the ride and may god bless his merry little legs

While a number of possible Derby challenger’s trialled at Shelbourne Park on Friday afternoon, Pestana took all the headlines by posting a sensational 27.93 for 525yds, further confirming that he emerged from lockdown a near complete article.

No confidence, so only got relatively small bets going so far:

20/1 Pestana (Champion Stakes winner) and 40/1 Wolfe (Easter Cup winner)

Hope the outright winner lifts the English equivalent for a more sizeable payout

Split first round should be informative

Does anyone have a link to the draw. I know it was on You Tube but I missed it

Is that right, no Ballymac Inspeed?

Anyone know the reason if so?

Woody

Plenty of better early paced dogs to bet in the Derby than a weak finisher who just gets home and is at the front of the market. Stinky draw for you with dogs that tank home hand over fist in the heat. Good luck though.

I was interested in Sydney but swerved that with the draw outside Bocko.

My only real bet so far Newinn Taylor has a super draw and should get room and go on easily enough in its heat. Ive had a few quid on a pup thats rag but it could just as easily go out first round if it doesnt ping and lead.
By:
woodmanchester
When: 10 Aug 20 23:57
Thanks Kinky. See where you come from with Newinn Taylor. Unbeaten 13 races but with a run, reckon Deadly Missile will have his measure after clocking a flying 29.13 over c/d

Added 100/1 Clona Blaze, each way

I'd have a few more Woody as both your picks Pestana and Wolfe have stinky heats.

That heat 17 is ridiculous. You've got a potential superstar in trap 2 thats absolutely slaughtered the fields in most of its races that will win if it gets a level and if it dont its possibly going out. That heat is just wrong. Good thing for the 2 is its drawn nr the fence and has the pace to cheat a slightly poor break from there.

Wolfe enigmatic but Pestana the improver

Fast up and would benefit from trouble behind

Reckon should go deep

Don’t know about last year but previously, for whatever reason, wide runners have had a big advantage in Irish Derbys, T6 in particular.
There are 31 wide runners in the 1st Round out of 144 runners.  Two races have 4 wides while six races have none!  Crazy if you ask me but that’s the way of things.
In the six heats without a wide:
Ht 5  Pestana unhappily drawn in T5.  He has at least run well in his one run from T5.
Ht 6  Catchmeflying unhappily drawn in T6.  Every dog inside him has early pace.  He has some running to do and if there was a race market on here I’d be win and place laying him.
Ht 9  Has no short, front of the market dogs going
Ht 12  The sponsors dog, Xtra, has drawn T6 and hasn’t won from out wide for a long, long time.
Ht 18  Has no short, front of the market ones going
Ht 19  Has the experienced Run Happy in T5, who has raced from T5 three times, and been 3rd, 4th and 5th.  He is another who looks vulnerable to an early exit.
There are nine heats with just one wide runner.  Two on Saturday look good to me.
Ht 14  T6 Degrom has been given a big chance
Ht 21  T6 Mustang Firmino looks likely.

Going over Friday
Even with all the crazy rules I’ve been told about
Getting out seeing the doggie boys for few beers
Racing looking forward to it

On the draw I’m not up with Irish cards at all
But have noticed some funky draws been delt out to lot of top end dogs
I’m sure ph Pf guide me right way
