Its with great sadness that i report the death of chris wilson ( miss wales ). He was a regular on this forum for a long time. I,m sure it was at last yrs n.o.s. i spent a couple of hours in his company after being introduced by p.f. He had a great knowledge of greyhounds and betting. He was a belle vue regular.
met him only once briefly on a night at BV he arranged a trophy presentation race for a few of the lads who were regulars on the bags back in the day he also had legs in horses with the late ken slack which we sent a few messages back & forth about remarkably a few years ago there was 1 day at ayr a horse that I had a small share in at the time ran in the same race as his horse with ken neither won but small world!! a really nice, knowledgeable, generous man RIP

I hope ppl will forgive me a little self indulgence here with this post but it's just to highlight how a simple post from a knowledgable forum member, that Chris was, can make a material difference to your life.
After diva had won the notts comp we sent her to bellers for the oaks..a trip unsuitable for sure but it seemed like a must do option at the time.
Chris's mate did late sectionals at all trial sessions and he went out of his way to message me after her trial there to say that divas late sectionals were exceptional,it may not have seemed much to him at the time but the fact he went out of his way to tell me the figures encouraged us to step her up in trip asap as soon as the oaks campaign was done which resulted in her winning debut over the trip on towcester opening night.
It's just a tale of how, despite all its negatives, forum posts and friends can have a direct influence on what happens in the field of play.
I sincerely hope Chris bet her that night at towcester.
RIP Chris,a true dog man.

I never knew him personally but the thread hits hard at the moment with me so R.I.P to one of the doggy boys and hopefully his family are finding peace and strength in such utter heartbreaking times for them.
