We had that problem at BV last year because it was a Weds meeting and they had to fulfil their BAGS commitments instead. It killed the meeting. People like the tradition here of dogs in the morning and then football & horses afterwards or back to their families. Hopefully we will have a busy one this year now we're back to an 11am start.

Totally agree Deepdale. Boxing Day, for me. And probably a lot of greyhound fans was all about morning dogs, then, maybe skip the last race to get back home for dinner and Kempton on the telly). But, hey, what’s tradition when there’s the urgent matter of maximising off course bookmaker profits..
